Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
I don't think there's a speed limiter/cruise control. You can commandeer any vehicle you want a la the old "I need this car/Police Business" line, but if you aren't in a police car you won't have the siren/police radio. Is there a speed limiter/cruise control type thing while driving? It might be boring, but I like to drive semi-responsibly in games like this, and I loved the speed limiter in Mafia II because it made that really easy.
No biggie if there isn't, I guess I'll just have to go half throttle the whole game or something.
And I wouldn't worry about speeding. I think my top speed in the game has been 80MPH according to the stats.
That's another thing. This game keeps crazy stats a la GTA And Red Dead.Comment

Rockstar is literally the best video game development/publishing crew in gaming. This will simply be a knockout and slam dunk for GOTY easily. Hoping I can grab this puppy up tonight or tomorrow!Comment

Just played a couple more hours and I will say this will be GOTY. 5 cases completed and each one has been as bizarre as the next.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
This might be a slightly spoilerly question but I'm just wondering if there's one big story that they lay out from the beginning that links every case together or are you just a street cop at first doing random cases. Then after you kind of get a feel for how everything works you get started on one big storyline later in the game.
Can't wait for Tuesday, some games just never really hook me with their story and characters and I just kind of stop playing after a few hours but I'm thinking this one will keep me coming back all the way through.Comment

Having not finished the game I can't exactly answer that question. This might be a slightly spoilerly question but I'm just wondering if there's one big story that they lay out from the beginning that links every case together or are you just a street cop at first doing random cases. Is Walter from the show Fringe in this game? I swear I saw the actor in the game commercial.Comment

I hate the commercial for LA Noire that just aired during the Heat/Bulls game for ending with "LA Noire. Out now!". Bastards.

Fair enough CB, might be wording my question wrong. Kind of just wondering what it's like at the beginning. Is there a big cut scene that kind of introduces you to everything or do you just kind of get dropped in as a street cop and don't really have any reason to think there's all sorts of corruption or that some crazy murder is going to happen or has already happened.
Was going to watch the first 15 mins. video but 2K has taken them all down.Comment

Someone should go to Walmart and tell them the commercial said "available now." Might be able to get them to give up a copy.Ryan Spencer
