Well that is great if none of you are running into these problems. I just linked the articles as a heads up for my fellow OSers.

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
No problems here, still loving the game. Just finished the traffic desk with that case.
Question, do the cases get more involved as you get to homicide and whatnot? I'm having a blast, but they do seem kinda straightforward so far...Not really that much that makes me think and try to figure out who did what (usually obvious who the bad guy is so far)Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Yes. Once you get to homicide the cases get more involved and you have a bit more open path to finding the answers. For instance - you might go from Place A, to B, to, C, to D, but I went from A to C to D and missed an entire little section of info but still got a confession. If that makes sense. No problems here, still loving the game. Just finished the traffic desk with that case.

Thinking about picking this up, I don't get many games due to how expensive they've become so does this have replay value or atleast a long game?Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
OK... so I got through case 11 before I decided to call it quits for the night.
I don't know if this is a spoiler per se but I guess it could be if my theory is correct. But, I swear...Spoilerthe convictions im getting in homicide just are not right. Some of these people make no sense. There was one where I swore it was not the person I got in the end. So it has to be something like it is one killer and he is framing all of these people. Im sure it will make more sense later on, just my thoughts thus far.SpoilerYou are on the right track, sir. If you've been paying attention, you could know who it is, too. Very subtle hints, but they're there.
I think I have something like 4-5 story cases left.
SpoilerI convicted the wrong person in the first arson case. The story continued with the boss yelling at me. That was the last case I played yesterday.
I'm going to play this game through again going a little slower. I know I've missed some stuff. This game is so good, I called in sick to work yesterday, lol.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 05-19-2011, 11:41 AM.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Picking up my copy later today so can't help you with the replay value question. But K-Mart has a great deal were you get a free $19.99 game and a video game voucher for $19.99. All you have to do is sign up for the rewards program at there website.
Great chance to catch up on older releases.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Meant to quote you and accidentally thanked you.
So far I am loving this game and are only through 7-8 cases in almost 10 hours. But I never leave a scene until I have all the evidence, or just get really tired of searching. Every case I finish with up to one or two clues not found or I have them all. I also drive like a normal person. I don't speed, run red lights, pass cars on the sidewalk, etc. So it does take me more time to reach all the locations. This last case I did took me over 15 minutes to drive from the crime scene to an apartment, but I love that in games as long as the world is immersive like all R* games.
As for replay value, I think most definitely. If you go through with the hints on, then you'll be able to add to the value by doing everything without the hints another time. Also, playing through again and trying to perfect what you missed last time and opening up different routes also adds to the value. I have been getting around 4 stars every case, but I did have one random one I screwed up badly and it got extremely challenging trying to progress the case, but once I did it felt rewarding even though I had a 2 star rating.
If you are a R* fan, love past settings and realistic game play, as well driving slow and looking at the city, you love doing side cases, etc. then you will like this game and find its worth $60 easily.“No one is more hated than he who speaks the truth.”
