Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
To me the value of this game isn't in the length of play (although I know that is important to you) it is the depth of the production value. I think that you will get somewhere in the realm of 40 to 50 hours on this depending on how you play.
I have turned clues aids off to help with lengthening the investigation of the crime scenes. I also drive to each location, trying to find landmarks and collecting the cars.
Unless you are really good, you will probably not obtain 5 stars on all of the cases, so you will be able to go back and play those to perfect the case.
As I said earlier, this game probably isn't for everyone, and I think there are some things that they could do to further the open world environment to extend play time. I don't know exactly what those are, but I am sure Team Bondi or Rockstar will figure that out with sequels to the title.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
During a case I got a Street Crime call and it was clear across town. I still get a little lost in this city and in doing so I ended up on top of a hill. The marker was directly in front of me with a high cliff as my only obstacle. The end of the road seemed to make a nice ramp for me. So I did what I do in any R* game I jumped it.
In the air part of me was expecting the Stunt Jump complete to show up and then the other part thought I was going to just explode. I nailed the landing but my car was totaled. Man, I was really trying to 5-Star this case too.
I like the way the save game works. You make a mistake, you need to do the whole case again. It's almost a throw back to the old school game when saving happened after you beat the game.Comment

I'm on my phone at the moment but when you get the chance, check it out - it's very detailed. Lists just about everything you've done.Comment

Re: L.A. Noire (PS3/360)
Major continuity issue in the third? arson case.
Spoilerhow does phelps get the info acquired through the insurance investigation? Are we to assume that the investigator revealed all his info to the singer who then told it all to phelps? Major spoiler, dont read if youre not in arson for realSpoilerIm still at a loss for why phelpes cheated on his wife. I am kinda upset that she and his girls havent been in the game much at all. That is a whole other dimension that the game failed to useComment

SpoilerWhich one? You have to go to about 5 in that case.
I think if you drive around aimlessly for long enough, it tells you where to go.Last edited by ImTellinTim; 05-19-2011, 01:25 PM.Comment
