I'm honestly wondering if we'll end up seeing this game at all, at least on this generation of consoles. The technology they've shown is very cool, yes, but they've really shown us no proof that it's even possible to have working properly in a full game. If this does come out, I'd be VERY surprised if 2011 is the year.

Why would it not come out. This is typical Rockstar. They tell us they're making a game, but they don't show us anything, but maybe a picture or two and one trailer. I think this will be out sometime next year. We won't see much about this game the rest of the year because that's how Rockstar marketing works, not because the game isn't xoming out.

they are milking RDR and then this will be there next BIG game when it's time for more $$ to roll in.

Wouldn't have made sense for them to release it this year since Mafia II just dropped. They'd be competing against themselves for sales. 'If' the game is nearing completion, then around next May would be better timing from a release perspective.

yeah, but I mean realistically, they could release it in Late OCT/Novemeber and not really compete against Mafia 2. Furthermore, they have a few games on the table. La Noire, Agent, and GTA 5 is going to have to come out at some point in the next 24 months.

Mafia II just released this month. Releasing another game within 2 months is not really a good idea. Mafia II will still be selling by then and coming out with a new game would result in less total sells. If they hold off until sometime next year, then Mafia II will get most of its sales and LA Noire will be able to add on with its sales too. Then if the release Agent 4-5 months later in August or June it can get all its sales done by the time GTA V can come out 4 moths later in November and get it usual insane sales.

I doubt we'll see all 3 games next year, but if we were to, this is probably how Rockstar would handle it. Separate their games by 4-5 months.

Well I hope they'll be forthcoming with some media or previews throughout the next year. This is a very highly anticipated game for me.

When it does come out it's an insta-purchase for me. There isn't too much I'm looking forward to game-wise, so it's a shame it's not coming out anytime soon.

I'll be getting the new fallout, the new cod game, but there isn't much beyond that I have my eye on. I hope it gets pushed back up!
