No, its not just you. I ran into a bunch of idiots Friday night and had to stop playing after a few rounds.

I can't snipe either but I didn't have too much trouble getting kills on Creek with an Assualt Rifle.

the last time I played, I kept getting offed by the same jerk, only I was on the house (upper side), and he was on knees by the sandbag's at the beginning of the raised trail that would lead to the wooden bridge - there is a tree there also. 2 snipers were there and would kill you before you could get set up in the house or on its roof, or the opposing ridge. It was very frustrating. I got my revenge by slightly flanking on by taking the widest route possible...but they still killed me more than I killed them which really effing razzed me.

If I'm on the lower side, I sometimes go where they do, but often just lie down in the dried out creek part facing 'up' where their is a wall of rock to your right...for some reason if you're still, you're not very noticeable..you probably look like bush.

Any OS guys want to meet up tonight and take on some randoms? I am sure we could get 8 guys online at one time.

I can hop on about 9:30 central maybe sooner.

Let me know if you all would like to meet up tonight.

You were on my team for a game or 2 the other night. Look me up around 11pm eastern. I think you are still on my friends list from the college hoops league that fizzled. Irish 437.

got a 15 kill streak on chinatown earlier today and then went 19-3 on broadcast, finally starting to find my way around the new maps.

Map pack complete for the PS3.

                      http://www.psu.com/COD4-PS3-map-pack...0003306-p0.php

Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling has confirmed that the variety map pack for the PlayStation 3 version of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare has been sent to Sony for certification.

“The Variety Map Pack DLC and patch required to add the maps to the game have went to certification at Sony last night,” said Bowling, Director of Communications/Community Manager for the developer.

“We’re shooting for a worldwide simultaneous release, so all users can expect to have it at the same general time frame when it finishes certification. We’re working to see if we can secure a firm release date to pass along to you guys now, and I’ll post that as soon as I have it.”

Bowling previously stated that the map pack would arrive roughly three weeks after its Xbox 360 counterpart, pointing to a late April release.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

I wish that sensing whether a grenade is nearby should be a perk. That way, people would have to decide whether to use that or, say, Juggernaut.

Does anyone know if COD 4 utilizes the DualShock 3 vibration feature?

That is a pretty good idea... send it to IW.

I agree...you can even extend a little bit to even cooked grenades. If an enemy is cooking a grenade near you..it would go off.

you mean like 'demo-man' or whatever? Everyone by default senses when grenades are nearby - or do you mean turn that off unless you use a perk on it?

personally i don't think it's worthy of a perk. I like it as default since it makes up for not having peripheral vision. Also, so many people cook grenades that it wouldn't make a difference on the score sheet.
