My first reaction was that its incredibly geeky, but if they are both into Halo enough that she said yes (and obviously was there to see it), then to me its very creative and a nice way to propose.

I agree that proposing at sporting events is kinda lame, and not romantic, but I think it depends on the girl. My girlfriend and I are HUGE Cub fans, and I know that proposing or even somehow having the wedding at Wrigley Field would be a very proper and romantic way to do it. It really depends on the woman and your situation, IMO.

Let me take this time to also say that despite my opinion above, I would NEVER EVER propose in such a nerdy way, even if my girl was into Halo (which I don't even play).

If they are both into Halo, and she saw it like that, that's pretty cool in my book. Extremely geeky, but it would seem to be something they are both into. Congrats to them.

But I will say these is TERRIBLE. Which guy in his right mind would propose IN HALO?????? Imagine her telling her friends how he proposed.
