Ghostbusters Video Game Confirmed for Xbox 360

Over the weekend, four Ghostbusters prototype movies were leaked on YouTube and now ZootFly has confirmed to CVG the game is indeed in the works for the Xbox 360. But due to licensing issues, development of the game is on hold.

"We are very glad to see the overwhelming response to the Ghostbusters prototype movies. What you've seen is indeed in-game footage of early prototypes on the Xbox 360, running on ZootFly's proprietary engine. Due to licensing issues, further development of the Ghostbusters game hit a bump on the road, but everybody here at ZootFly is working actively on resolving the challenges with the owners of the Ghostbusters IP."

I'm Sill holding out hope for a KOTOR III for the 360...Hell even word that its in development would suit me...Hate when a game leaves you hangin after the ending. Just set it up for the sequel, but haven't got any news except a small little paragraph in Game Informer about a year ago

There was an article on GameFAQs a month or two back stating that Lucas Arts would continue to grow franchises such as KOTOR and I forget the others listed.

KOTR was arguably one of the best RPGs I have ever played (this is coming from a D&D nerd!). That story was just beautiful.

KOTR II was all right, one could easily tell that Bioware wasn't making the game anymore. I want Bioware to make III. KOTR II felt unfinished. The storyline in the original was as well done as any of the Star Wars films IMHO

I too would like to see BioWare do KOTOR III, but that team could be tied up for the next 3-4 years with the Mass Effect trilogy.

True, I think ME is gonna be sick either way. I'm just a Star Wars geek so that stuff is more appealing to me.

Either way, Bioware is one of my favorite developers. Solid game after solid game.

Unfortunately BioWare won't be doin anymore KOTOR Games...They said that they won't do games for other publishers or suntin to that extent..It basically meant they are only gonna do thier own games from now on

Harold Ramis, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd are getting back together to make a sequel to Ghostbusters 1 and 2 – in video-game form, and we’ve got the first details. The three are teaming up for scriptwriting and voice and are going far beyond just the typical licensed add-your-voice-to-the-game-you-had-nothing-to-do-with formula.

The article seems to indicate that the video on the first page of this thread has nothing to do with this game.

Ghostbusters....Yea, we're back!

Had to get my Annie Potts line in there :-D

Some quick facts:

-Being made for XB360,PS3,Ps2,Wii. Ps3-360 versions will feature realistic type graphics while the Ps2-Wii versions will have a more cartoon look.

- Not made by the team(Zootfly) from that Youtube video a year ago, this is made by Terminal Reality w/ Viviendi(360,Ps3). Ps2-Wii version made by a different dev.

- Ramis, Murray, Akroyd and Hudson are involved. With Ramis and Akroyd doing the story for the game. And yes, Walter Peck will be back involved.

-You will play as the 5th member to hear the chit-chat between the other guys. There will also be talk between walkie-talkies when split up.

- Online Co-op is a go.
