not sure if there is a map online though.

I don't expect it to be like CoD. In fact, I'm hoping it's not like CoD. I know Dookie enjoyed the first Vegas, and I was wondering what's different with this one.

I don't want it to be like cod4 either. People are going to compare it to cod though since it was so good. Never played the first one online. There seems to be alot of customization of your soldier which is nice. You can pick different gear, face paint etc. plus lots more options that can be unlocked.

I only got a few games online in. Seems when I died 2 times I wasn't respawning. Maybe that is normal, not sure. But if you have a good spot and kill someone, they won't find out where you are via a kill cam.

Anyone know if you can view the map when playing online ? Kind of lost without one.

Sweet. Got a copy during lunch. Sent out a few friend requests and played 2 matches. Seems like the original. The sprint is nice, but you have be careful or you leave yourself open. You definitely take less shots than the original.

              Yes.

This game is nothing like COD and it not suppose to be. This game is a lot more tactical and running gunning unlike it COD won't work here. With that said it offers a whole new type of FPS and is a nice switch from COD. Both are great shooters and what they offer.

I know for a fact I won't be playing COD much for the time being because of this game. Loving it so far.

Some game modes have a respawn limit. Sometimes it is fun, some time it is frustrating. That is why you have to be really cautious in this game.

in #1 there was a small map in the corner of the screen and people w/ a 'uav' type device (instead of a grenade) could show enemy locations frozen in that time like a snapshot...and others could scamble the map signal.

you could never see the whole map, but had a good idea after playing it for a while where the 'red dots' were.

there may not be a kill-cam, but people are going to be at certain spots (to use cover), so you quickly learn where people will be and where they have killed you from, and that changes as months go on and strategies change.

all that said - I actually think cod4 is the more 'realistic' even though both are just a game and not really simulating reality (which would be much much more boring).

The better thing about vegas is the diff scopes and ability to spot enemies easier imo.

I didn't think a sprint button was necessary as they moved pretty fast in #1 ( and were affected by weight because of armour customization which is really cool to me).

I had my fun with one (thousands of kills w/ a 2.14 k/d ratio , I may rent this one, but I'm still playing cod4 daily, so part of me is saying 'why bother'. Also june brings Bad Company which i'm looking forward to most. My biggest gripe w/ rb61 was online's lack of audio cues where you get people right behind you w/o hearing (and there isn't a dead silence perk or anythihgn)

I have the PS3 version and it seems it is hard to get into a game online saying connection failed most times. It is not my conection as all my other games work fine when playing online. Anyone else having the same trouble? Thanks.

I'm looking forward to the online adversarial play, but I'm really mostly looking forward to the online co-op...I think it'll be fun playing through the single player with someone. I always have had the most fun doing terrorist hunt...

I was really looking forward to this game and now I'm disappointed. The graphics are really terrible and the movement is weird. I threw nade it just didn't look real. I loved the first one, but I think COD4 spoiled me.

I guess I just feel underwhelmed.

Too much COD. I need to give it more time.

Yeah, it's no COD4 but it's a nice change of pace. I played some more this morning and I think it's a great game.

One word of caution to all, spawn killing will happen I can't say that will be the case on every map but I've played a few where randoms online are are spawn camping like a mofo !!! But this all depends on what game type you're playing as well. In Team Deathmatch, it's pretty much a certainty that you will get spawn camped by the AHOLES online!!! For the most part, when we played the first Vegas, it was always objective based games which were largely OS exclusive. Objective games by default are not prone to spawn killing by the other team.....THANK GOD !!!

Picked up my copy at Game Stop, but not going to open it yet...waiting for some more impressions. Does the pace feel alot slower than COD Dook? what is not making you enjoy the game?

There is an online radar/map. I'm pretty sure I had to turn mine on last night. It's not on by default. I'm at work right now so I forget how I did it. It's a small map in the upper right or left corner that displays at all times. When you or a teamate sees an enemy, all of the team's radars will show that enemy's location with a red triangle. But his location could be a floor below you, a floor above you or the same floor. You can also make it bigger by pressing the BACK button on the controller.

This is a matter of taste, but I like the fact that it's not COD4. And I really like the fact that you can't see how you died or where it came from.....just my opinion
