I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: Deus EX 3 Discussion
SpoilerWhen Eliza say's "look out" avoid the melee charge and then right after that attack Yelena while she's recharging. She'll fire back with her machine pistols but you can take her. Also, it appears getting shocked is unavoidable, so either get the dermal armor augment that protects against electricity or make sure you use your painkillers and hypostatim (or whatever that's called).Comment

So I am in the F.E.M.A. Facility...
SpoilerAnd I am getting my *** kicked by that redneck augmented soldier over and over again. Must have played it for about 90 minutes last night. It is going to be so satisfying once I beat him. Not sure if I have to use the mines to beat him or if just the grenades will get the job done. Having a blast with this game though.Comment

SpoilerI used the mines with grenades in them. First I hit him with a concussion grenade and ran to the other side of the room. While he was looking for me I set up the mines in his path and let him to me so he would walk over the mines. After I did this twice I threw another concussion grenade at him and unloaded with the shotgun. He then went down.Comment

SpoilerThe explosive red barrels are your friend. If you can get him off your tail for a few seconds, pick one up and throw it at him for heavy damage. What I did when I finally beat him was hit him with a frag grenade I picked up in the facility, hide behind the first crate in front of me, and popped off about 5 or so headshots. From there, it was all about avoiding him and occasionally hitting him. It's a pain in the arse though, because once he has you lined up, it's over. If you have the typhoon, it's MUCH easier, as i've found in my second playthrough. Another option that almost worked for me (if you have the cloak AUG) is to hit him with a few shots here and there, cloak, move around behind some of the crates and out of his sight, then hit him with a few more shots. Repeat until he's dead.Comment

I was explaining the game to someone who will never play it and how did Adam survive
Ending spoilersSpoilerTo get to Panachea, you get on a sub orbital rocket, on approach the parachutes fail and you go hurtling towards the facility and ocean. Next thing you know Adam is alive and well, like nothing happened. How did he survive and why did they gloss over that and why put the parachutes failing in the game at all if you are going to ignore it?Comment

Re: Deus EX 3 Discussion
Just finished this up. Didn't care much for the last level and it's enemies to say the least, but besides that I thought the game was fantastic. Best game I have played so far this year and one of my favorites this gen. As far as the endings go I wentSpoilerwith the Hugh Darrow one. Debated between the Darrow and Sarif ending, but choose the Darrow ending because I thought the public should know the truth and the Darrow one was only one which provided that. I do wonder which ending will be designated as the canon ending that leads to the events of Deus Ex 1. I could see both the Taggert or self-destruct endings being cannon. Even though to be honest given the fact that the first Deus Ex takes place almost 30 years later, I could see some arguing that all the endings may possibly lead to the events in the first.
As far as the post credits scene it seems to implySpoilerthat Adam's DNA is connected to the Denton brothers since the achievement for watching the scene is titled "The D Project." Also I assume that the Grey Death virus in the first game will come out of the experiments with nanotechnology that Bob Page and Megan are now working on.Last edited by mgoblue678; 09-03-2011, 06:31 AM.My Teams
