That quote just says that SSFIV won't be $60, nothing to do with owning SFIV. The "unspecified treat" will probably be something cosmetic (like not having to pay for costumes, etc).
SSFIV is $37 via newegg w/ free shipping [XBOX, PS3].

Does newegg apply taxes to their orders?

Anybody still playing this on the PS3? I may be coming across a deal on a quality PS3 stick sometime this week, if I do I'll grab a used copy of SFIV so we can get some games in.

That's what I'm doing. I've got a ton of games to play in the mean time anyways, so Street Fighter had kinda been on the back burner for a while. I'm going to be incredibly rusty come Super Street Fighter.

If I can pick up the TE stick, I'll jump back into the arena. Have only played once or twice since last summer, sadly. All of my video game playing is way down because of my schedule, but I'd like to get back to being a good player in this game.

man for 37$ i might have to cop this for sure. this game is just soo competitive and i hate losing. you really gotta put in work, like its a real sport to compete. Daigo put in 10+ years of living at an arcade to get where he's at.
Ima have to like take a zoloft or something while i train and compete at this so i dont get rage lol.

The MvC2 TE sticks are $99 @ gamestop. You'd have to search for them locally though, as they're not being sold online atm.

Thanks for the heads up, Mo. That's a pretty good price for the TE sticks. I have some other crap I have to buy first(bicycle, new monitor, ipod), so I'm hoping I can get the TE stick in before April.

When SF4 first dropped Amazon was selling those sticks for 300$+ my old Hori EX2 stick was selling for 150$!
I never got my hands on a fight pad because they were sold out for the first couple months and dudes on amazon were selling them for 80$+

Yea fightpads were a bitch to get a hold of. I remember going crazy trying to find one here in NY.

I ordered a Madcatz SE for the PS3 earlier today. The deal I was hoping for didn't come through so I'll just mod the SE. I only have about 3 extra buttons so I'll have to order some more parts but once I'm done I'll be on the PS3.
