Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
This game is HARD. It's funny to see how mad people get after 2 days though. I guess when you are used to hot garbage mashing games that are easy to be good at, this game would not be fun. I personally love the challenge because it is like anything else...you WILL get better if you put in work.
There is no doubt it is super hard though. There seems to be noob stages :
1. wow..cool graphics!
2. Wow..I suck!
3. Wow...this game is so hard, I am on VERY EASY!!
4. Ok...im slowly getting this..
Anyway, I am on 4 right now.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
That way to unlock Akuma is wrong. U have to get 1 perfect and 2 ultra finishes and no continues and he should show up after u beat seth. To unlock Gouken, you have to first unlock Akuma and then play arcade mode and get 2 perfects and 3 ultra finishes. Also, I'm not sure about this but I think you have to beat it with somebody that you've already beat it with. And the way to unlock Seth is wrong too...you just have to beat the game with everyone, it doesnt have to be with Gouken.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
I'm having a pretty hard time with the normal d-pad when trying to do any QCFx2 + P or K moves, basically the common super moves. End up doing the F,D,DF move instead.
Anyone know how you're supposed to hit Vega's high bloody claw and Bison's reverse devil driver in the trials? They seem to have to be on the other side of the screen for Vega and jumping for Bison but since they don't move unless it's a specific jump move.
On a side note after realizing how much I won't be spending cause of the broken PS3 I went ahead and bought this anyway.

Wow man this is crazy!! You can't find the fightpad ANYWHERE. Thank goodness i pre-ordered it from amazon, which is sold out right now as well.
Its so bad that they're charging $150 bucks plus shipping for a Chun-Li fightpad.
check it out:http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listi...&condition=new
Actually they just dropped it down to 134$
Damn if i would've known that i'd have bought like 4 of em."I'm addicted to Video Games, and i chase it with a little OS." -Winston ChurchillComment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
to those wondering about playing this with a regular controller:
I'm playing it on the 360 with the normal controller I feel OK with it. Would a pad improve my play? Perhaps, but I'm not going to shill out $40 or however much it is just for that opportunity. I'm enjoying the game and the majority of the time when I lose online, it's because the other guy was better than me, not because my controller input the wrong commands.
also if you're considering a strategy I'd say save the money. There's plenty of online guides available for free, including some decent stuff I linked to earlier in this thread.
I think my biggest complaint about online is that 95% of the time, so far at least, my opponents have used either Ken or Ryu. I understand they are good characters and classic ones from the original and everybody knows their moves blah blah blah...but I'd like to see more variety. Where's the people playing as El Fuerte, Bison, Cammy, Crimson Viper, Blanka, E. Honda, Dhalsim, Sakura, Rose, etc.? I don't mind fighting Ken and Ryu, especially the newbs who think they can sit back and throw Hadokens all day, but more variety would be nice.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
Last night, I just could NOT beat Seth with Ryu on the default difficulty...it's just damn near impossible. Every time I thought I "had" him, he'd counter into Zangief's spinning powerbomb or into his Ultra Combo.
At one point, I had him down to a sliver of health in the final round, and I couldn't land one final hit on him, not even a love tap. He just was all over the screen, dodging and countering everything I tried to hit.
I tried for over four hours last night and I still couldn't do it, despite beating Seth in only three tries on Tuesday with Zangief.
I think people may be talking about Seth as one of those "hard boss characters" down the line. But despite the frustration, MAN. What a game.Owner of URWL CAW WRESTLING: http://www.rantboard.net/Comment
