Are you referring to moves where you have to hold one direction for two seconds and then execute? That might be it.

For 2 X QCF/QCB moves, do it slowly first, and let your thumb get used to it. Make sure you're taking all of the erratic movement out of the motion. Also, the first QC doesn't have to be as fast as the second.

The reason I think so many people are Ken and Ryu online is because of how tough the game is. It is simply going to take time for folks to learn more character's moves and feel comfortable enough to take them to a ranked match.

Can somebody tell me how to unlock Gouken? I've read around and tried most of the methods but I keep getting Akuma. I've been doing the 2 perfects and 3 ultras thing but it doesn't work.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

In this city, they sold as many copies as they shipped of both the game and the controller, from what I'm hearing.
Born i called that specific gamestop and they said they never got in the shipment. So basically they don't have it.
And i've called like almost all the gamestops in queens which there are like 20, and none of em have it. lol its crazy

Gouken: You must use Akuma. If you're using single rounds, get at least 1 perfect and 2 Ultra finishes and use no continues. If you did this once with Akuma, it may not have happened because you have to beat it twice.

I unlocked him using this method, jmood, so it should work.

Vast: Sorry to hear that, man. I think they're wrong at Main St. though, because my friend saw them with his own eyes. I'll double check with him. He lives near a remote Gamestop, and they had more copies of SF than most people. He didn't even know that it's impossible to get in the rest of the city.

I can't wait to see the numbers on this thing.

Complete Arcade mode with Akuma, never use a continue, and perform at least two Ultra finishes.

Ok thanks. I did only go through it with Akuma once but I thought I had to pick someone else. Hopefully this works.

Use the analog for the 2x QCF moves. Solved my problem.

For charge moves I usually hold down and away instead of just away. That's just the way I learned it because with Guile that way you'd be able to do the flash kick or sonic boom from that position. You can also charge them up while doing other moves but that might be a little complicated for some right now.

Can you use the analog or the d pad?

Yup though the d-pad is best for most moves, wich is kinda strange.

Good tips, thanks. I tried a LOT today. I may give it a shot again tomorrow. The charge probably is holding it in one direction like you say. But what if holding it that direction also moves your character across the screen? Is that still charging?

                          Thanks much for your patience.

yes it is still charging. It is always holding away from the opponent so it either moves u back or blocks in coming attacks.

That's weird and sucks. I don't ever use the d pad.

Most charge characters have charge back and charge down moves so the best thing to do is hold down back that way u can do either move and you are stationary and blocking all at the same time.
