Born, what I mean is like I when I was playing with Ken, I could do a Shoyuken or Hurricane kick, but I just didn't know what buttons I was pressing to do it because I was going so fast.

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
Hey Pack. The key to execution is to minimize excess movement, kinda like Isomotion in 2k9, except more reliable.
So say you want to do a jump in-Fierce, Fierce, F.Shoryuken combo
What a lot of people do is to press the Fierce button like madmen while jerking at the d-pad like a thirteen year old on a bra clasp on prom night.
This makes the game unpredictable.
For many(though not all) combos, you can break it up into parts, and take a moment to learn the timing. So first you want to practice Jump in Fierce/Fierce, with just two button presses. Then you want to practice Fierce, F.Shoryuken, with just two button presses. When you are comfortable with both of those, you'll find it easier to put together.
Do you have a headset? I can break it down better over XBLComment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
I've gotten much better playing the game using the default controller, mainly because of the analog stick surprisingly. Was having a hard time pulling off moves with the pad. I prefer using Chun Li but using the left stick and default control I can play with Ken very well after some practice. Disappointed how the difficulty ramps up across the board to the point where it's cheap for a novice like myself - hadn't gotten this throw-a-controller frustrated since my PS2 Madden days. But still really like the game. Would've liked if the game took more of a Virtua Fighter approach and Capcom programmed the game to play like individuals with strengths and weaknesses because the cpu is just too cheap in the way it plays. Hadn't played much online yet so that should up the enjoyment factorHBO's "The Wire" should rank as one of the top 10 shows EVER on tv - period

Does anyone know where to find a MadCatz fightpad anywhere? The EBs by me are out and I can not seem to find an online store that has them in stock either.Comment

Could someone please tell me how to unlock Akuma? I played best of 3 rounds with Fei Long, had two perfects, and two Ultra Finishes and still no Akuma. And yes I have beaten the game with everyone up to this point, I only need to unlock Akuma, Gouken, and Seth.Comment

I think it's 1 perfect, 2 ultimate finishes, no continues, and you'll fight Akuma after Seth.Comment

Try Best Buy, both of the ones by me are loaded with them. Was up there last night, had about 8 Ken's, 2 Ryu's, and 3 Chun Li's. I got the only Blanka they had earlier in the week.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
I have seen a lot of people using Zangief and E. Honda also. I will continue to use Ken, until I can work on someone else. Back in the day, everyone used Ryu/Ken/Sagat also, but now at least the game is better balanced so those characters are not as dominant as they used to be.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV (360/PS3/PC)
Got this game last night and it was pretty damn fun. I had trouble pulling off some moves, not because of the 360 controller, but I couldn't figure out how to do some of them. Like some with have push right and then it had a fist...which punch button would it be?
I almost picked up the Blanka fightpad at Best Buy last night to go along with it, but I wanted to try with the 360 controller first. The Blanka fight pad looks nice though.Comment

If it doesn't specify (l, m, h, or whatever), then any punch button will work.Comment
