Why do madcatz always put a turbo on their controllers, seem like anyone could cheese.

In some cases in this game, it's important to be able to hit light punch, medium punch, and fierce punch all at once. Pressing the right trigger on the MadCatz controller is the equivalent to pressing light punch, medium punch, and fierce punch.

Put your worries aside, Dookie. Everyone I know that has the Madcatz is really happy with it. Just make sure that you have one that works. The only complaints I have heard is from people with faulty controllers. I haven't heard any of these personally, but I've seen it on messageboards. Overall though, the Madcatz is a sure shot, dude.

LOL oh ****... so last night when I was trying to hit y three times real fast I could of hit one of the triggers on my standard controller just once, or am I reading this wrong?

Might go pick one up at lunch (if I can find one now, Best Buy only had one last night when I bought the game). I'm sure I can take it back within 14 days.

The Hori stick really makes this game fun. It is Japanese style so the stick has squares where it pivots, but i think that possibly helps. I notice that if I miss a fireball, it is because I did not roll forward enough. I can feel how forward I need it to go though, and so it is something you can correct and grooove in.

Anyone have the stick with the American (circular) pivot? I am curious if one is better then another when it comes to quarter turns and the Z motions. The z motion is tough to pull off. I hear you can mod these hori sticks.

I know one thing..the Japanese own at this game, and they use the square input.

Y is a medium punch, the right trigger is the heavy kick and the left trigger is light/medium/heavy kicks all at once, which is used for the ultra combos. The heavy punch is the right bumper.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I've got the HORI EX2 with the circular pivot and I love it. I play mostly charge characters so the circular pivot doesn't put me at any advantage. I'd love to try one with the square pivot...I can only see that improving my play. I do find the circular pivot especially good for really difficult moves like Vega's ultra.

LOl of course I can't find a fight pad anywhere. All Gamestops, Gamecrazy and Special FX are sold out. Hopefully Best Buy has that one in still. Not sure if stores like Target and ToysRus carries them, they are closer to me then Best Buy.

wish I would've been able to connect, I probably would've been that 100th victory for you.

Question: when in the xbl party you said you were checking out my stats. How do I do that for myself and for other people? Is it on a website somewhere or is it in game?

Finally unlocked Akuma! This is how I did it, for those who were confused like I was.

                              Used Ryu
                              1 round
                              Easiest Setting
                              1 Perfect
                              2 Ultra Finishes

I think the one round made the difference. Before I had two perfects and 2 Ultra finishes for the best of 3 rounds, but I didn't unlock anything.
