I'm running through Seth now myself. Flat out embarrassed him with Bison. When he teleported, I teleported behind him and threw him. He got out-bossed.



Rufus, Rose and Fei Long look like they have some advantages! I don't know how well they'll do, but they swift. I'll be messing with these three when I'm not adding to Ken's legend.

Wow. All I can say is this game just cured the blues I had waiting for the show to release. I had to get the 360 version because that was the only system I could find a fighting pad for. I was also surprised that the three stores I called didn't have any. Why is it so hard to find these sticks?!?

I just shared what works for me. You should try it. First move off the whistle is get ready to jump and dodge his projectile, and then get in close and use your kicks.

I swear to I haven't felt the need to throw a controller in anger in a long time. BUT SON OF A BITCH playing against Rufus for Kens Rival Battle is beyond a pain in the *** for me.

Keep him away from you with fireballs, if he jumps in punish with a shoryuken. Just dont let him in close enough for him to land those combos.

Thats exactly why Im buying a Hori Real Arcade Pro EX stick and modding the buttons to the exact same ones that are in the TE stick. Will be the exact same stick, for less money than the TE on the shelf... without the pretty picture.

That's the stick I roll with.

My buttons haven't arrived yet and I am still working on some custom artwork.

Been hooked on this game all day...
Having a hard time grasping the "ex" move (med kick + med punch), what are the benefits? I know it stuns them and knocks them down...but that elimnates the chance to do a combo or anything...am I missing what its supposed to open up?

5 wins 30 losses thats my online record. I really need practice, other than that I love this game. I should get better when I get my Hori arcade stick tomorrow.

Yeah, you will see a big improvement. I know you would have won more tonight if you had a better stick/controller. It really is hard to do anything with the regular controller.

You have to double tap forward at any point during the focus animation. "EX" is like "extra". The move is actually the focus move, but when you hold it, it's the EX(tra) Focus Attack. Just like the EX Hadoken.

So you double tap forward and your character will cancel the last few frames of your attack animation and give you a chance to do something nasty before they hit the ground. I recently won a fight with Rufus like this, and it was absolutely sick. Rufus=BEAST.


I gotta put it down. Been playing too much, lol, even though this is mild by SF standards. 59 wins, 12 losses. Ken and Ryu are undefeated.

So is this game not worth getting without getting a controller as well? I really don't want to shell out money for a game AND controller but everything I've read is people saying that the game isn't nearly as fun without it. Help?

If you like Street Fighter, it's a must have. Default controls or otherwise.
