Thats exactly why Im buying a Hori Real Arcade Pro EX stick and modding the buttons to the exact same ones that are in the TE stick. Will be the exact same stick, for less money than the TE on the shelf... without the pretty picture.

Only thing I don't like about the Hori Stick is the placement of the buttons. Sounds like a good plan though.

Ive heard of people complain of the placement, but as long as I use the far right set of buttons, it doesnt bother me. A friend of mine did this, and I love playing with it. I cant wait for mine to get here... assuming I dont win a TE stick in the SFIV tourny this weekend at gamestop lol.

Ok its offical. I SUCK at this game... BUT... Man is it fun

It's like the 360 version of Super Smash Bros but, IMO soooo much better.

I'd like to play some guys from OS on the 360 version. Send me a FR so I can get my *** kicked some more:wink:

And amazon is taking forever to send me my damn fightpad! They're saying the release date is the 20th. WTF?!

I beat seth after about 4 tries the first time. For some reason I suddenly can not throw fireballs, even though I have done it a billion times today. It's like it is harder with Ryu for some reason.

Anyway, to beat seth, you just jump over his fireballs and use the low hard kick and pretty much just mash that button.

I have the Hori. People don't like the 2 buttons on the left because they are lower? I know it is SUPER tough to do the fake kick, but everything else seems smooth. How hard and how much is it to mod?

I hear you on the Trial stuff, I'm using Blanka right now, one move (electric thunder) it just says tap punch repeatedly and nothing. He looks like he's charging up or something but then when I stop hitting a button he just doesn't do anything, no matter which punch button I use how long I use it for choosing different directions...nothing. Any thoughts, same with a combo for el fuerte, on his second trial, double quarter circle towards and kick, nothing happens.

Maybe I'm an idiot and please feel free to let me know if it's some obvious thing I'm not doing but I've never really played street fighter before and this just makes no sense to me. When the command is tap punch repeatedly and it refuses to work it's kind of frustrating.

It also doesn't help that all the gamepads were sold out so every other time i go towards or away I end up jumping. What is wrong with Madcatz, how do you underestimate the demand for these things. Obviously a lot of people are going to be buying two for head to head play. They just lost almost 27 million dollars just in the last quarter and their throwing money out the window when people give up searching for them and stop playing street fighter because their in such short supply. They were sold out everywhere before the game even came out, how does that happen? Large companies that don't seem to want to make money make me angry.

From what my friend told me, it cost him less than $15 and took 20 mins to do, thats about all I know. Its just switching the buttons out for the arcade cabinet buttons that are on the TE stick. Its the placement of those first buttons that annoys me, but I just ignore them.

I just shared what works for me. You should try it. First move off the whistle is get ready to jump and dodge his projectile, and then get in close and use your kicks.
