Yeah, I figured that went without saying. It's a free compatibility update, no more no less.Comment

I'm confused, fellas. Is the arcade edition the same as the the regular game? What has been added or removed?Comment

From what I can tell the Arcade edition adds Yun, Yang, Evil Ryu, Oni, and a slew of balancing tweaks.Comment

I'd guess that it's posting along with the store update today, but it's also possible it's caught up in the store's massive backlog. For ps3 at least - no clue on 360.
Whenever it drops I'll be getting it.

Edit: Just downloaded a 21 MB update that was likely the compatibility patch.
Further edit: Upon starting up the game I got a message saying "SSFIV Update Kit" and "Arcade Edition" are now available on the store. No sign of either actually being there yet, but that's a pretty solid indication that it's coming today with the Tuesday content push.Last edited by bcruise; 06-07-2011, 05:09 PM.Comment

Both the Update Kit (Free) and Arcade Edition ($15) add-ons are now available on the PSN Store. I used the search feature to find them, they may not be up in the main store area just yet.
Download size of Arcade edition is around 1.5 GB.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV/Super SF IV/SSF IV: Arcade Edition (360/PS3/PC)
I'm contemplating parting with SSF4 via Gamestop trade-in for SSF4AE. Doesn't make sense to keep it around (I've already committed to getting the retail disc on the 28th), but I have a hard time letting go of games I actually have a past with. Sounds cheesy, but it's true.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV/Super SF IV/SSF IV: Arcade Edition (360/PS3/PC)
One of my matches showed up in the elite replay channel....that makes it oh-so-broken.
Actually it's pretty cool - I got to see a high ranked Fuerte fight - I haven't seen many of those.
Oh yeah, Davey - if you get the AE add-on you can switch between Arcade and Vanilla anytime in the option screen. Just tossing it out there, although I know you said you like to keep the games seperate - technically they are still seperate games in that AE doesn't overwrite Vanilla.Last edited by bcruise; 06-08-2011, 11:28 AM.Comment

Re: Street Fighter IV/Super SF IV/SSF IV: Arcade Edition (360/PS3/PC)
Evil Ryu seems to be the new Ken - just saying. Kinda caught me by surprise when he pulled a Demon on me.
Yun is pretty awesome - fairly easy combos, a Juri - like super mode that basically becomes create-a-combo and and various ways to combo into his 1st ultra (haven't tried the 2nd, been enjoying the first one too much).
He doesn't have a fireball, but he does have a fireball-destroying move. And his 1st Ultra is a bit on the weak side to make up for the fact that he can get into it in so many different ways.Last edited by bcruise; 06-08-2011, 02:43 PM.Comment
