The Original Indiana Jones for the Atari 2600. I could never get Indy to land on that tree ledge using the parachute.

Kind of surprised on the Tyson's Punch Out posts. The game was really just about memorizing the patterns that would happen and if you did that, the other boxers couldn't even touch you. Were you not able to beat Tyson or were you not able to get to him? It was tough to endure the Tyson uppercuts for the amount of time they happen, but once you knew it was going to be the same pattern every single match, it was easy.

I couldn't finish MDK2 for the Dreamcast, Return of the King for the Gamecube (just got too frustrating and lost interest). I'm sure there are plenty of others that I can't think of off the top of my head. Some of the old-school games on the Commodore 64 were tough. Not sure if I finished the original MegaMan.

I think everyone could get to Tyson.....but he knocks you out in one punch so theres no room for error.....plus he really doesnt have a set pattern...

Good topic. Makes me really think about the time I have for gaming now, and my mindset when playing. When I was younger I finished most of the games you guys speak of (Indiana Jones, Megaman, etc.) Now, I just don't have the time, so I end up playing through some and then next time picking something else out, so I end up never finishing anything. I've made a vow with myself that I'm just going to start "finishing" one game at a time just to say I did it.

That being said, I could never even come close to being Ghosts and Goblins.

Vietcong: Purple Haze and Shellshock: Nam '67. Mostly b/c they were glitchy as hell. I really want a good Vietnam video game. With the modern tech (Unreal 3 etc) I think a great game could be made. Far Cry has a good outdoor engine, as does the Soldier of Fortune games, not to mention COD4's outdoor levels, so it could be done now if there was interest. I'm so sick of WWII games, atleast Vietnam would be a fresh experience if done right.

On a side note, the last game that I really finished was GUN for Xbox360.

Yeah he did have a pattern. They all did.

I once ran through that entire game without getting hit one time (to include Tyson).

You know what's funny? I used to be able to do that. I guess now that I'm getting older, my reflexes are going because I tried it again on the Wii and I can't get past Soda Popinski now. He's just too fast.

He has patterns just like the rest; and he only throws those super uppercuts the first two minutes of round one. Do the fast dodging and you should be fine.

Master Blaster is the one game i wish i was able to finish. i got to the end perhaps twice, and could never quite finish it. Hard game to begin with.

Yup and he always flashed before he threw them.

I never finished the first Max Payne. I kept falling off of the second blood maze or whatever. It was so frustrating I sold it.
