Vader is a good metaphor for EA. Started out decent, but slowly regressed toward evil.

I fondly remember EA as Electronic Arts who made Dr. J vs Larry Bird for the Commodore 64 computer. I think that was the Trip Hawkins' EA.

Count me in too. I guess that makes us sheep who can't see the error of our ways in supporting the evil empire. People get WAY too wrapped up in this stuff. I support the games I like best and criticize the ones I don't like regardless of who makes them.

Im not a *****, but EA's really does cooki cut games for people. the EA from my child hood is long gone.

It doesn't bother me. I don't see why it bothers everyone else so much. Games will still come out, I'll still play them, and the sun will rise tomorrow.

Yeah games will still come out but if you look at the established games that EA took publishing duties over for you see that they've made alot of those games worse than they were before and/or just kill them off.

It's terrible because lack of competition has proven the games will suffer.

I don't know why EA would keep buying companies, they're losing money already and wasting money buying things left and right doesn't seem very smart to me.

Buying a profitable company is something that makes money for them (if Take-Two is earning a profit). If anything, this is exactly what they should do if they are losing money since they obviously haven't been able to fix that internally.

Not to mention they are eliminating a huge competitor.

Take-Two has been far from profitable, outside of maybe Bioshock helping their sales for one quarter.

I won't have a job waiting for me in a few months. I think that's a good reason.
