I love games with strong stories and characters. That is why I always thought the first GOW was vastly overrated. Does GOW 2 have anything that resembles a respectable single player campaign?

I haven't kept up on gaming news, but this comes out tomorrow right? Not ships tomorrow, but I can walk into a store and purchase a copy for $60+ tax right?

You won't need to know the story, since I don't think there was much of one to begin with. All I remember is some dudes went looking for a bomb, eventually they found bomb, they then proceeded to plant bomb to try and kill the Locusts, bomb went BOOM, they thought it was over, but they were wrong.

Actually there were two bombs.

yeah, they signed on this comic book writer named Joshua Ortega... he's worked on stuff like star wars, spider man, batman, star trek, etc

Never read any of his stuff personally but i researched and they ranked one of his novels amongst the likes of Fahrenheit 451 (great book BTW) and I can already tell his influence... the first 10 minutes of gears of war 2 showed more emotion and better voice acting than all of gears of war 1

I can't wait to get this game. Too bad I have to work til 3am EST.

Roomie is picking it up and should be online. He's a cool guy, so if you see him online invite him to a game. I doubt he'll talk much on the mic, he's a bit shy.

After 3am I should be on, so we'll see what's up.

Still not hyped for this game at all. I might pick it up from Blockbuster, just to try it. REally don't think it will stick as the last one really didn't either.
