That driving mission was so damn fun, fighting the beserkers was as well. I don't think I've ever felt I was in such as intense situation in a video game as I was the first time I faced a beserker. Too bad they won't be in this one.

I'm sure alone it would take that long but on co-op it wasn't bad; just needed some luck. Actually a lot of luck.

I agree, the beserker was great. The first one I was in co-op and it was great. My buddy dropped his controller when it first popped through the wall, lol.

Moments like that is why I considered Gears of War my first true next-gen experience.

As far as the Berserkers and Kyrll, Cliff said they wanted to offer gamers a new experience and not retread on familiar ground, but that they might work their way back in the future in some new interesting way. Back before E3 some got to play Gears 2 at Microsoft and they said there was a wave in Horde with a handful of Berserkers, but nobody has yet to confirm if this is still the case.

I did not care for that driving mission at all. Took me and a friend almost an hour and a half to beat it on insane coop (and no, we don't suck so don't suggest it) and I never got past that part on insane by myself.

Playing on insane alone is just that, insane. I played a level or two and said screw this. Co-op on insane is very manageable; I didn't even have much of a problem with General Raam on insane.

Also I think the worst part of the driving part was that damn old man talking trash.

lol I thought Raam was harder on hardcore than insane. But I played him on insane on my second playthrough and had a strategy worked out pretty well. Honestly, beating him the first time on hardcore was near impossible for me, probably took 50 tries.

To be honest, I played the solo game of Gears about a total of 30 minutes. I really never play by myself. I always play online, same with COD, Halo etc...

If you haven’t figured it out by now, Gears of War 2 is what’s going to sell Xbox 360s this holiday season. It has non-stop action, fresh gameplay, varied environments, an engrossing storyline, multiplayer that will have people busy for years to come, and some of the nastiest and coolest kills I’ve seen in a videogame. It has its flaws when it comes to the technical side of multiplayer and the last act of the campaign and the voice acting might turn some off. Still, none of that comes close to holding back Gears of War 2 from its destiny: being one of the best games available on the Xbox 360.
