    I watched the first video.....Yep, it's just a rental.

Tis a shame because the premise is quite strong.

This is funny because of Obsidian's relationship with Bioware.

That's why I would rather have Bioware do it, Obsidian just seems like Bioware's B team.

Basically. I was worried about Fallout: New Vegas until the newest preview. Seems like they actually stuck with what made FO3 great and just added a new map and a bunch of new features, instead of it being an entirely different experience.

This game is just looking worse and worse with each preview IMO.

I can mind the animations and the graphics being somewhat dated just as long as the story pans out well. But I think this game would have been better off hitting its original release window.

You would think that with all that extra time they would've improved the graphics and animations. It has been 7 months since it was supposed to come out and it seems like they just put it on a shelf somewhere and moved on to another game.

Yeah, but the gameplay and all that has to be damn near flawless to make up for the looks. I'll probably rent this, just too much that's coming out to warrant a purchase here.

This would be a day one purchase for me if the graphics and animations were PS One quality(Some may pejoratively attempt to imply that they are) but then I'm an old school RPG head.

If they draw in enough of the Neverwinter Nights crowd, the game will do O.K.. If they're trying to pull in a lot of the Mass Effect folks, then the game is not going to be shiny enough for that set.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

It has nothing to do with looking shiny but looking like they care enough about their game to put work into it. There's absolutely no excuse for this game to look as bad as it does when they had so much time to polish it.

Oh and I completely forgot about how terrible the voice acting is.

I'm gonna hold off and wait for reviews/impressions, especially with Alan Wake and RDR this month.

I'm going to hope they were playing an earlier build of the game too. But really if the story does what I read it would do in a GI years ago I'll still buy.

Found a new trailer (and I think there are more):

The game is supposed to be kind of tactical and all that, but the guy's running with 2 Uzis? And he shoots 50 bullets at that boss, but only knocks him down with his fists...LOL

Well the game is designed that you can play it however you want. I'd prefer the more stealthy approach. As for using the fist it was probably faster than reloading and maybe the guy was wearing body armor?

"Shiny" lets them off of the hook, because it implies a superficial layer. This game doesn't just have unpolished graphics, it has bad art direction. I hate to call out an art team and throw them under the bus, but this is bad art direction. Seeing art direction like this in a game always makes me smile a little bit.
