I made a post like this a little back, and can relate. You have to become accustomed to what the game wants you to do. You are guerillas fighting a much more powerful enemy.

I was dying way too many times, and changed my strategy. It's nice to use the surrounding terrain to scout targets at a distance. I even brought down important EDF targets from a distance using rockets. Once I stopped trying to fight them head on, I probably died 4 times the rest of the whole game, one being a end of the map death at the final mission.

I was a little disappointed with how short the game is. The single player is very short, as you can beat it in less than 10 hours. I beat it in 12, which included roaming and messing around with the environments. While everyone is saying this is GTA Mars, I spent 100 hours in GTA 4 getting 100%, so this is far shorter. The missions are highly repetitive, and the ending is disappointing.

But it sounds like online is awesome, but I usually beat the single player mode first. So I'll be checking that out now.

      .

did you clear ALL of the guerrilla actions and challenges? I heard if you miss some while clearing an area you can go back and complete them all... true? Also can you keep going back to challenges to try and beat your time after you beat the main mission?

and yea... online is the most fun I've ever had in MP matches.... objective games and siege.

yes, the game can be played after you beat it. The game puts the EDF back to a limited capacity in all regions, just so you can complete all achievements, challenges, and any side missions.

thanks... can you redo challenges to beat times?

also did your 12 hours include all the G actions or did you leave a bunch on the table while clearing the main mission? the reason I ask Is I'm still in dust (only 2nd area) and already have 5 hours in. I'm wandering around looking for ore and the hidden MOAB stuff and destroying all the property etc.

          thanks

I know its going to take me at least 25-30 hours to finish the game if not longer. I'm still in Dust and I know I've played at least 7 or 8 hours already. My style of play and general suckiness, does extend my gametime in these kinds of games though.

Take Mass Effect for example, many people beat that game in about 6 hours, but I know I put in at least 25 hours the first time through.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

I got the achievements for destroying all EDF crates and propaganda during my time as well. I found all but 15 ore spots too. I'm doing the guerrilla actions I ignored still, but I'm pretty much done with the single player. Online is awesome as well, and I'll spend more time doing that hopefully.
