played for the last hour with zero lag. Took a while to start, other than that it was a blast.

I just played and for the most part it was good. the only bad thing was it did feeze up on me. It seems though the game does load faster which will make many people happy.

Im glad the load times are shorter, but its all for nothing when the game is laggier and freezes all the time. It has been better though, so thast good.

seems like slant six is taking one step forward, but two steps back. I have faith it will get better though.

I played a good three hours tonight with no lag issues, no problems what so ever, just playing with some guys I met on S3/S:CA, former clan mates and we had a blast.

If we could change topics off of everyone lagging and focus on how the gameplay is compared to the last two games.

Game play is similar to the previous games but updated. Sprint has been implemented and overall the quickness of proning is very slow, you can no longer do the socom dive or lean while proned. Many tweaks and minor changes have occurred and leaning is now done with the six-axis function.

After playing for a while and having not gone back to an old socom i'd say its a very fair representation of what we had fused with new innovations that make the game fresh.

Will there be more weapons on the final release ???? WHat about camo, more options for your soldier ??

I do believe I read there will be more guns, not positive on that one though. There definitely will be new options for your soldier, I think the camo we have is what we get but the actual design and outfit of your character will be changeable with the option of changing what special force you are in.

so i can't get access to this anymore, correct? what if i go preorder the game? am i hosed? would like to get a feel for my first socom before i decide if i should buy it.

no way to get in now unless someone has an extra code. I know people that pre ordered got 2 or 3 codes. I only got one through the purchase of the 1st Qore

dang.... anyone got an extra code? or can i use a code from someone who isn't using their's anymore? would love to play this for a day or two and see if i'd like it. Love the rainbow six series and COD4 was fun too. i like realism and am afraid socom might be a bit arcadey but we'll see!

never played Socom before, but it doesn't seem arcadey at all. You can't chunk grenades real far (like COD4), the amount of shots a person can take seems pretty realistic too (depending on where you hit them). I have had a lot of conrontations where I kill the other guy and he kills me at the same time. You run around a corner and you both shoot each other and both die.

They need to bring the dive back. There's nothing arcadey about hittin the deck when you see a grenade. They don't need to bring back the ability to get up real quick after the dive (if you guys know what I mean).


I'm pleased with the gameplay though. Definitely reminds me of SOCOM 2. And I love being able to talk to someone near you without holding the mic button.
