only got to play for 20 minutes and it was laggy and I had no idea WTF I was doing, what I was supposed to be doing, or anything for that matter. Can you set up a game by your self and play alone to learn the controls ????

When does the beta go public? I'm dying to play some SOCOM online.

it is public now Holic. you either had to pre order at Gamestop or have episode 1 of Qore.


Heelfan, the smallest game you can make at the moment is 4 vs. 4. the game is laggy if you join a game with more than 10 people. Try to join a smaller game when you first get on to avoid the lag. I am certainly having fun with what I played so far. It's different than the ps2 SOCOM's but its still good.

yea your not gonna get to play the beta unless you pre-order the game or buy the 1st Qore episode

Hmm, thats odd, I haven't had any issues yet.

Heres some tips though.

Goto Channels that have low amounts of people in them, its the best bet.

Look for games with lesser #'s of people in them or make a game.

To me I always shoot for a game in a lobby.

And if those don't work its a crap shoot of looking around.


Also, if you haven't, try and add tree3five and eton to your friends list, me as well, and look for us, we tend to hop around together and make games and by rolling together we seem to get playing just fine.

Any other questions that Eton doesn't get to I can help, i'm a socom vet as well as one who has more than a week logged in the beta.

Can you crouch down ? Seemed like I was going from standing to laying down when I pressed the button.

Yes you can, you have to look at the image by the health meter to tell if your standing or crouching at times.

One note on that is that with the six-axis enabled if you have the controller tilted up or down it effects stance, it doesn't change it but it makes you get lower or higher in your stance and can make it seem as if you standing while in crouch mode.

tried to play 2 times today. After insane load times, the game would freeze 30 seconds into the match.

Couple questions:
1. How to I switch to grenades
2. How do I switch to grenade launcher on my gun
