The SOCOM: Confrontation 1.20 update addresses the following issues:

Fixed many issues which would cause the game to crash, hang, disconnect and exit to the PS3 XMB.
Fixed an issue which would cause large numbers of players in a high player count game to be simultaneously disconnected.
Fixed an issue which would cause players to be invincible.
Fixed a physics issue which would cause players to occasionally "warp" around on the map.
Fixed an issue where a "corrupt save data" message would be incorrectly displayed after updating the game.
Fixed some player model issues related to team swapping.
Client/server optimization.
Fixed an issue where the scope camera had an incorrect offset from the barrel of the gun while prone or leaning/peeking.


So far so good, alot less lag!

I'm having a hard time to distinguish a foe or friend, I know about the red or green thing, but to me is not enought, any other way to know? the game is soo grey that is hard for me, maybe I'm getting old...

More simply, your allies should have an indicator over their head, either their name or that diamond looking thing.

Thanks! that's mean if I see a name over the head is a friend! oohh! sorry, first time player, also, this game should have a practice mode or something.

I agree they should have a training mode for beginners like warhawk did with a patch. When I first got into the game I was not too good but during the beta I improved and have gotten even better since the game has been out. This game is not a pick up and play it takes practice and most importantly patience as you'll die more times than not and can be frustrating and turn people off.

Even before the patch it ran smooth for me...not sure why everyone thinks it was so bad the last week or so. I've had zero problems.

I agree. There were the situational hicups but it seems like its been smoothed out even more.

I have done everything to try to get this game to work on my ps3. It still says corroupt data. So I don't know what to do anymore. =/

I got that the first time. Just delete your old data it and re-download the patch.

did you try pressing B when the corroupt data message appear? that will take you to the menu, you create your player save it and that's it!

Man, had another awesome night, the game has been running very well since the patch, very few boots and the kick*** gameplay keeps me sucked in.
