Vast, I would say it certainly helps. I think most playing this game at this point have gotten it. You don't have to at 1st but I would recommend it in the long run.

What he said you would be fine without them at first. It does not seem a lot of people have the maps right now.

there is a update to download next time you get on. They updated some server side issues:

It's been a few weeks since Cold Front was launched and it has been a great success. We hope you have been enjoying the new maps and features included in this DLC.

We are working on a server side patch to be launched in the next day or so. It will include the following updates:

* Clan ladder kick fix
* Medley Update (added 4x4 & 8x8 Demo and Elimination games) - note: there will be further updates as we continue to refine the medley system
* Team Tournament Fix - Our apologies to all those who entered the recent tournaments- they will restart once this fix is verified.

We are also working on Patch 1.61 which will contain some other updates and fixes. We will release more information on it here on SOCOM.com when we get closer to its launch.

Have not played anything in the past couple of weeks. I did switch us the KCT special force and I love the HK 417 gun we got with it. The 7.62 mm bullets pack a punch.

Just got this today used. Gonna hop on tonight and try it. Hoping this brings back memories of my first ever most enjoyable online console experience with the PS2 original Socom.
