I'm watching my son play and fellows when he is sniping people from a distance it is sweet. The movement/realism and everybody is using mics is a wonderful thing. I can't what to see the 16 vs 16. By the way. How many maps does this game have out of the box and are there more in store for download. Since I'm so bad at the game I give it a 9 but once I get better i can easily seeing it being close to a 9.5 imo. Peace!!!

the game has 7 maps at launch. # are old Socom maps and 4 are new. You can bet your bottom Doller there will be DLC. Just think how many maps from the old SOCOM's they can do?

Only 4 new maps? And only 7 total? For a game that's solely online based? Does that seem like it's bare bones to anyone else too? And is the DLC free or do you have to purchase? I hate when it's always 5 more bucks for more maps, especially if they're skimping to start.

Maybe I just expect more from a next gen game that's been under development for so long (same with Gran Turismo, seems like the same situation)....

MGO, at first it does not seem like very much for what you pay. But Warhawk cost the same and I think that had only 5 at launch and that was great. I think its just the cost of development these days that drives it.

Picked it up today with the headset.

So far, so good!

-Lag is very minimal!
-Accuracy is great, especially in a smooth running room.
-Easy to get in matches now, and the wait to get in a round is now 30 seconds or so thank God!
-Stats and leaderboards are working!!
-Graphics look better than the beta. Lighting and texturing seems a little better, especially in character models.
-Headset is NICE! Very clear and simple to set up, and the charging cradle is nice as well.

This is nothing like the beta, which was plagued with issues all over, all the time. Very fun and lag free and more like the Socom games of old. Add me if you want to play: PSN ID: BUDDHAtheXILE

Does anyone know for sure if the headset would be able to double as a cell phone headset. I know it's bluetooth and all, but am curious.

If this is the case and It can be used for everyday cell phone use, it would really increase my chances of purchase.

From what I just read on page 34 of the manual. You are in, and for the record it's a pretty damn good BT. Peace!!!!
