I've actually seen more Xbox 360 commercials for the game, than PS3.

Yes, this is why I plan on moving to New Zealand or Australia. I love their laws on censoring and things of that nature.
Wow, you have a good time reporting him, Im pretty sure he never directed his comments towards you anyways, notice how he mentions parents overall and references Jack Thompson as well? If you are so against this game then I dont get why you are in this thread in the first place. Then again Im sure Im being insensative as well so I will get reported, so report away if you must.

I respectfully disagree that we should ban all non G movies, all books with any sort of non-child like content, all non "E" video games, etc.

The answer to some parents not watching their kids is not a worldwide ban. I don't feel I should be censored because some people (not all, some) cannot parent. I disagree with a passion with Jack Thompson (and apparently you as well).

I saw two last night for the Xbox and have yet to see a PS3 one

Granted, I only watch sports channels and Cartoon Network, so I'm not really exposed to much of the market

He didn't call you "damn dumb and clueless," so I have no idea why you are getting bent out of shape. Perhaps you have allowed your child to play a game not suitable for them?

I don't see how you can "resent" a comment, if it doesn't apply to you.

I have a cousin whose son plays GTA games. The first thing i'm going to do next time I see him (and I see him often) is not to buy this game for his kid. He's going to be 13 and his brother is only 8 so I would definitely advise against having them play the game especially the younger one.

In fact, I might even go so far as to hide the game whenever they come over.
Jack Thompsons whole argument is these games lead to violence by minors who cant seperate real from fantasy, but he bases it all on the so called knowledge that stores are more then willing to sell these games to minors and thus ignoring the rating system. Now if good ole Jack has some proof then by all means say something, but wanting to sue multiple companies based on them selling it to minors while having zero proof that they are seems like a waste of the courts time and nothing more then to keep his name out there.

I saw three last night during the Playoffs. I was surprised at the end when the PS3 logo flashed.

Yeah, I had Raw on, and saw the PS3 one again.

I figured they would just have a GTA commercial, not one that is console specific. I went back on the DVR, and even on the details screen, there is no mention of the 360. I'm sure it's the same on the 360 commercial, leaving out mention of the PS3.

                    Just weird.

that's what I mentioned earlier. Where is the Halo 3ish marketing blitz MS said they would have. Every commercial for GTA4 has either been gamestop or ps3 at the end. Also add to the fact that nobody knows anything about the DLC, and MS dropped the 50 million dollar ball on this one.

That's a good point and i've seen some stores sell M rated games to minors. It's actually not that hard to build a case on that principle but it seems ol' Jack is lazy. In that case it'd become a far less sexy case because the onus no longer goes to the developers and MS/Sony. The onus would fall squarely on the owners and operators of the stores themselves.

That's why I became convinced that the DLC is online co-op missions or gametypes. EGM hinted at the fact that there would be downloadable co-op missions that are 360 exclusive. I know they said 2 "episodes", but what exactly are the episodes and are co-op missions, well, considered episodes?

If the DLC is really a city or a map of that size, you would think MS would tease that to the high heavens. Something tells me that its not all that, or even if it is, it's not a timed exclusive as Rockstar isn't going to do all that work and have it go to one system.

Who knows, but either way, there's exclusive downloadable content coming to the 360, that no one knows a hint about it and MS is refusing to advertise about it.

I'm seriously thinking about picking this up at midnight even though I have to wake up @ 5:30 for class. I'll probably pick it up and play until 5:30, head to class, then crash when I get back.
