Its a street dated game so I can guarantee it will be in stores on that Tuesday. I would expect high volume stores that get a decent number of preorders would do midnight releases.

Does anybody know if the Super Wal-Marts are doing a Midnight Madness for GTA and if you can pre-order it up there?

Went up to the one up the street and when I asked a few of people that work there,they all had this look like they aint know what I was talking about...

Mein Gott! There are people that don't know about GTA4? They must be living under a rock.

Hopefully if/when I have a part time job by that time i'll have the day off.

Yea I already know about Gamestop/EB Games having one...but Wal-Mart is like 5 minutes from my house so I would prefer to make the quick drive up there,pick it up and be back home by 12:10.Thats why I wanted to know if anybody knew if Wal-Mart was having one.

But if Wal-Mart isn't having one then I guess I just make the drive to EB Games then..

Well I work at Best Buy and we still have no idea if we are doing a midnight release. I checked with the media supervisor and they had no idea yet. I think it's something that has to come from corporate. I'll tell you if I get any word.

I got my last 3 or 4 games from Wal Mart at midnight on the release day of that game so Im sure they will be doing the same for GTA.

I'm sure thats how they'll do it. Most 24 hour stores will likely "release" the game at midnight.

After reading both parts of the interview I'm simply stunned. Once again GTA won't simply raise the bar, but will instead totally redefine the parameters of the medium.

I know a lot of people love GTA for the over-the-top violence and mayhem, but I think this version will really allow for varying game styles. I know I'm going to be playing the low-key, amoral gangster.
