yep. Games leak all the time, even Halo. The amount of pirated games compared to what will be sold on the first few hours will be very small. It only looks bad now because everyone wants this game and can't because this game has been done for awhile, yet it has the dreaded street date. If you don't want leaked games coming out a week before the game officially does, set the release closer to when stores actually get physical copies. Boxes of this game have been sitting in the back room of stores everywhere for days.

MS can't really tell if people are playing a real retail copy that a store just sold early or a downloaded ISO. Hackers have a custom firmware that hides that they are playing burned games. S now, they assumeeveryone playing it now downloaded it illegally. Some people might have found somewhere to sell this to them legally. This is just one more reason why MS would embrace digital downloads in the future.

I'm sure people will start getting it this weekend. My advice, based on what I've read other sites and even here. If you play on the 360, disconnect the LAN cable or wireless adapter, and use a fake profile so you don't get any achievements on your actual profile. With how they are cracking down, if they see the achievement from 4/25 or what not, who knows what might happen.

If you get it on the PS3, just disconnect the LAN or turn off the wireless while playing.

Seems Rockstar and MS are on a hunt, obviously the 360 people are harder to hide than the PS3 people will be.

but again, there's currently no way for MS to tell if a person is using a pirated game or not. They can assume most people are playing pirated versions just because it got leaked, but there's also people playing it that have every right to because a store sold it to them.

well you would think if someone knew or cared enough to get a 360 flashed to play backups, they would know the threat of banning. People just don't care, as they know MS can only assume they're playing pirated games.

The best thing MS can do is go after torrents of the game being spread around.

what do the 'points' mean...in the list it says for some people 65/7 or 70/8 etc.

not that i'd ever be the first, but this must ruin the prizes that people get for achieving everything first...people will have done that by the time the we are 'allowed' to buy the game.

Yeah, but some countries will have a editied version, while most places like the US will have the uncut one.


man I can't believe we are just a little over three days away from release. I started couting down with 36 days left and it has flown by. My weekend will go by very quick (always does) and then I will just have Monday to get through.

3 days 14 hours and 13 minutes!

It seems like the consesus is for people with both consoles is the 360 has better online and extra content but the ps3 is more reliable and people want something to play on there ps3's.

I honestly dont know what to do. I might just wait to see if there is any bugs or framerate issues with one version and then just get the other.

I am. My XBL expires next month and I don't plan to renew it until Gears of War 2 in November, if that. We will see.
