I've played about 6 hours of the 360 version, and have no idea what you are talking about. I've never noticed any pop-ins/ups/whatever at all.

I am interested to see how the media levies their criticism on the game when it will have such massive sales figures. Are they going to accuse everyone of being evil? Obviously there is a demand for this sort of title.

Also, how long before we get the GTA IV South Park episode?

They will use it to attempt to further show how far downhill society has become where things like this entertain so many. The news will then bring in Jack Thompson to spew his garbage followed by a short segment by Bill O'Reilly where be brings in so called "experts" on human behavior and attempts to tie in violent crimes to those that play these video games while ignoring anything and everything else that also contributed to it.

who here "kinda' agrees with me in saying that kane and lynch(which was inspired by the movie HEAT)gave us a preview of the gta4 shootout/gunplay?

i personally LOVED the shooting aspect of kane and lynch and to see it somewhat represented here on gta4 albiet probably better is reassuring...

That game could have been great but instead it was garbage. I go shoot a guy and put a full clip into the back of his head and he turns around and kills me. Some of the stuff was good, but the bugs ruined the game for me.

After watching IGN and Gametrailer's video reviews, I'm PUMPED and ready for the 29th. Wish I could get it early but not one game I've ever wanted has been released early where I live, they always have the release dates on lockdown here. Damn this game is going to be great.

I read somewhere earlier in this thread that the PS3 version doesnt support 1080i resolution, if anyone can locate that info or has the game and can look on the back and confirm it that would be appreciated. My TV is 1080i only so Im guessing Im going to get the fantastic resolution of 480 when I play this game. If I had one complaint about the PS3, its the lack of the internal scaler, the 360 has it, Sony talked about fixing it through firmwire and then amazingly enough they never said another word about it and acted like the problem doesnt exist. Thanks in advance.

I dunno much about HDTV, but the back of the 360 box only says "HDTV 720p", so do does that mean the 360 version doesn't either?

No because the 360 has an internal scaler, meaning even though the game will only output at 720p as the highest resolution, the internal scaler will upscale it to 1080i if your TV supports it, or atleast thats what I have always been told. Simply put, the 360 is like a DVD player that can upscale regular DVD's to make them look crisper and sharper, the PS3 isnt, if that makes sense. Im sure if Im mistaken someone else will step in and correst me but Im pretty sure thats correct.

Yep. It's going to be ugly later tonight. Only in Cleveland can you expect snow in almost May then it turns around and it's 75 degrees and sunshine two days later. LOL.

Anyway, I am getting pumped for this game! The excitement has really set in this morning. One of my kids woke up extra early this morning and instead of being slightly grumpy after a lousy night's sleep (played The Show until midnight last night :wink, I thought "GTA IV comes out in less than 24 hours" . I haven't felt like this since some of the NCAA releases.
