My only complaint about the game, the soundtrack is not nearly as memorable as the other GTA's. I understand they are kinda screwed due to the limitations of a modern setting.

I am surprised they dont have alot of current pop tracks.

I'm GLAD they don't have a ton of current pop tracks. I get enough of the same 10 songs on real radio...nice to hear some older classic stuff when driving around in a virtual world.

Are you guys having trouble getting it? Apparently my bro went to Gamestop and they would only sell it if you had a preorder? Are bestbuys and big retailers selling out?

I walked into Gamestop at about 10:30 and got the game. I didn't preorder and they just gave it to me, seemed like no big deal. This was in Columbus at the gamestop right by the osu campus, so I bet they do a lot of business with this game.

ok, sorry what will be a noob question but i've (believe it or not) never owned my own GTA game and have only played them sparingly...

so i bought GTA IV today and is then my first..

so i have two questions if someone(s) doesn't/don't mind...

1) how do you get guns?
2) is it possible to save a point on a map? for instance if i want to set a marker at a shop so i know where it is later.. can i do this? or am i just responsible for remembering where each place is if i want to go back?

I got this game last night and was EXTREMELY disappointed...

...I could only stay up until 4:30 am to play it . It's 1:30 in the afternoon here and I just woke up, time to play all day.

wow...reading the manual i see that they have dj Francois Kavorkian - a real nyc dj that spins in cielo from time to time (meat packing district). he's plays amazing garage/house/deephouse...from what I understand the rockstar guys are really into music all genres.

I'm at least excited about francois k and the nice bob/stephen marley, and classic rock.

Edit: Oh, Okay. I figured it out. You have to hit up once you open the phone, to bring up the dial pad.

I just spent 30 minutes tooling around the game and played the first two missions then beat up a couple people including a cabbie LOL

I must say the graphics are amazing. If only I had a bigger screen tv to play it off of. I also drove around on one of the freeways.

Some of the cars sure are tough to handle but I found the cab (I don't know how to hail one so I just jacked it) to handle very nicely. Hopefully there are more cars that handle like the cabs.

Yeah, so nothing exciting on my end. I'm up for some free roaming online if I get a chance tonight.

I heard a rumor that by the morning there is a very good possibility they are being pulled off the shelves pending some investigation into if it has the proper rating. Get it while you can.

Just kidding. Our Gamestop had plenty and was selling them when I went in at around 11am to pick my copies up.

The retail store my mother works at didn't even get the game til 1:30 time. In fact, blockbuster right across the street had the game 2 hours earlier for rental!

I did see a ton of people at the EB games in the mall though.
