That's what subtitles are for. Also, I saw someone said they were having trouble hearing some guys talk because the sound is lower, well, again, that's what subtitles are for. Turn them on in the options menu.

Good tip, didn't think of that. Makes me want to restart the game because I definately missed some conversations.

There is a part in the game where I was on my way to Michelles place and then Roman needed my help as well, kind of like a choice had to be made. I of course went with Michelle and Roman went to the hospital, now is that because I didnt go and help him or is that merely a filler and I will end up helping him in that situation anyways? Just wondering for those that might have chosen the opposite of what I chose.

I've used subtitles for years on tv shows so i always turn em on in games. I'm by no means deaf at all but i've found that it's a good way to deal with the fact that in many shows, and video games too, that people who speak with accents or at low volumes.

I made the opposite choice, the game teaches you how to fight in that segment by saving your cousin from the albanian hoodlums. Later on Michelle is a bit miffed for you being late and asks you why and also asks if you and your cousin are involved in criminal activities

Feel free to dump it cheap, I just always find it amusing when people dismiss a game (sports or otherwise) after a day. It's your time, so definitely do what makes you happy, it just amuses me. Games take time to get into..I hardly doubt the characters totally suck you in within the first half hour. It's like a good book or movie, there's exposition and story setup.

I think that's the issues with the controls, we all just have to get used to the game...it just came out. You can't pick up a new game and expect to be God in 10 minutes.

I'm not saying this is all what you're about, it just made me think of this stuff...if it's not fun for you, don't play it

I'm only half an hour in, I stopped playing to go out and do my cardio tennis...I'm in this for the long haul, I think the story's going to be fun to follow.

I also find it amusing how people praise a game after a day too, only to abandon it for the next hot one in 2 weeks. It goes both ways. I have played all the GTA's, and I always get frustrated with the controls and the feel of the game. I always play each one because they get great reviews. I am not saying it sucks, I am just not sure it is for me. I will play a little more single player, but I could not even get a deathmatch online with my friends..we all had the same problems on 360. But I know the series, i am very familiar with it. I just got sucked in by the 10 scores and people flipping out and I had to try it.

I played the one in compton the most, but even that one got old to me after a while. There is no doubt this game is really cool with the Euphoria engine..that makes it really nice. But to me I still think the draw of the game is it's shock value and the ability to run around and cause havoc...not the gameplay itself or controls..those are 2 things I really put at the forefront when i play a game.

Its just not that fun for me to drive around. I really am not into doing that...what can I say? I like what I like..I will play it through the weekend then unload it. It is definitley hilarious and the programmers have a great sense of humor...the TV shows are great.

I agree with you man..I have just been losing the love for video games lately, unless they are just amazing to me like COD4 was, I Don't really play much anymore. Even a game like this that everybody loves, I find flaws ..this time the controls really just annoy the heck out of me and don't feel right at all. I have played for 3 hours. It's my bad for forgetting my past history with prior GTA releases.

Shortly after it Ramon called and said he was cornered again anyways so it played out the same, just in a different order. Nice to see though that its not completely linear and that there are options and different paths to take.

Out of curiosity, is there any benefit to actually sleeping and saving the game that way instead of just letting it autosave after a mission? All it seems to do is make multiple saves since I have autosave on, or this more for the people who are not using auto save?

Sometimes the lighting is so poor that I'm wondering if there is something wrong with my copy, but I've heard a few people mention it now. I don't care for the bluriness during the day at all and sometimes it is very difficult to see at night. I guess I'm one of the few who is disappointed with the game graphically.

What's the deal with the game going to a sepia, almost black and white look at times? I wish Rockstar had gone for a brighter, higher res look.

i saved him and let him go because i hoped that would open up a path to kill Vlad...and sure enough i was able to execute the bastard very shorty after that

what happens if you kill that guy? Do you stay working for Vlad for a while?
