I've unlocked Algonquin and I'm about to unlock the entire world, if I can beat this one mission. I've come close to beating it, but it's really tough. It's easily one of the best missions of the series though.

What % are you at Flawless?

hobby? gaming IS a hobby.

NO ONE should feel guilty about OVER playing this game. a game like this doesn't come out often. This game surpasses anything games have done in recent years. I did not like san andreas either but i absolutely love GTA4. it's masterful.

The environment IS the game. i played san Andreas and though you could go anywhere and see alot the game felt empty after awhile. I must have clocked in over 4 hrs of mission time(8% done) but have put in well over20 hrs just walking around in the city. just today in broker I found out you can go up further than i thought. i took a cab to a way point near it and then went off on foot. this game doesn't seem to have the accessories,shops that saints row did(which is what i liked so much about saintsrow) but it makes up for it with gta gameplay gta attention to environemnt detail and just flat out style. then theres the story which is like having 3 girls instead of two. its' just amzing so far this game has pretty much killed any anticipation for any other game coming out this year...

I'm only a few hours in(somewhere between 2-4 probably), but I'm really impressed at the open-endedness of this game. (All of my comments aren't counting San Andreas, as I never played that game). More so than GTA, Vice City or even a Mass Effect, this game really feels like you are in total control of the character. I'm a few hours in and I can go to Roman, Little Jacob or Vlad to get missions, other games have multiple sources to get missions, but this game I really can't tell which of these sources is the one that is going to advance the main stroyline. All of the games I previously mentioned, you knew where you needed to go if you wanted to move along the main storyline, the rest were just side-missions. But with this game, at least at the point I'm at, there isn't an obvious path to go along to speed through the game doing primary missions only.

Roman seems most useful to introduce me to new people, Vlad actually gives me fighting missions and I haven't even gone to LJ for a mission yet, I can guess that Roman will probably advance the game for you, but his missions don't feel like the game developers spent 10x the effort on them compared to the rest. This was a big issue in the previously mentioned games, you could always tell which missions were primary just based on how detailed they were.

Something is seriously wrong with me.

I took Michelle on a nice date. You know, a little driving, a little scenery and then a little bowling. Things are going great. We left the bowling alley and were walking down the pier enjoying nice conversation when out of nowhere I decide to jack her right in the f***ing face!

Well, apparently chicks don't dig this kind of behavior, so that was it for our date.

I tried again and took her to.........well.....a bar of course. Niko was smashed, I couldn't get a car, so I stole a taxi. Proceeded to crash into everything, pulled up to Michelle's apartment and went for it. What do you know?? I GOT SOME HOT COFFEE!! Slut.

The best thing I've seen is on Fox news, out here in MA at least, my Mom was telling me that the anchors were all talking about the game and near the end of the segment they look towards one of the anchors and go:

"You've been awfully quiet throughout this. Do you have any thoughts?"

He looked at them and gave a very nervous smile and replied: "I love the game. I wouldn't let me eight year old play it, but as an adult...I love the game and the series."

haha, that's great stuff...and that's how it SHOULD be..was it brian (dark hair) or steve doucy (blonde hair) who siad it? just curious..

I accidentally killed Michelle in one save. I was drunk after the bar and went to steal a car, somehow her head got stuck in the door just as another car hit her standing in the street.

I've had no freezes.... now I'm scared to even play it. Can't I ever buy a game for either system and not be scared that it's going to freeze or the system die?

You have to go into Romans list and select "car service"...not just any cab. He'll send one of his brown cars to pick you up...

It's only for when you call Roman and tell him to send you a cab.

I think you've gotta call in a cab from Roman to get it for free. I haven't tried it yet but that was the impression I got.

I'm pretty sure you have to call Roman and ask for Car Service.

Just a word of advice, don't take Michelle to the strip club. For the hell of it I did and as we were walking in, she says "get back in the car now Niko." So of course I keep going in and she follows me, well I had forgotten I had my pistol in my hand (not cool) the bouncer followed me around telling me to leave, so I tried to walk out without trouble, you know didn't want to get in a shootout in the club. Finally the big bouncer comes up and punches me in the back of the head, so I'm like screw it, and I change to shotgun to kill all the bouncers and as I meant to hit L2 on XBOX for aim, I by accident hit R2 which apparently smacks people upside the head with your weapon and so I hit Michelle with my shotgun and she got pissed and stormed off and said she was "tired of the bull****" and she'd walk home herself.

The next time I called her she wouldn't go out with me, she was still mad and said maybe call back later. It sucks because I actually was trying to avoid the confrontation from the bouncers and didn't realize I had my pistol out for a while, so I didn't get why they were boterhing me.
