Yeah, but if you have opened the other islands, that won't work now. Going to be hard to get with islands open.

that's why I started a new game. The game gives you like 30 save slots. I had got 100% on my main save, but still had to get the 6 star achievement. Seeing as how I had never seen or even got close to 6 stars, going in the subway tunnel under the islands in a new game is the easiest way.

for dwayne you have to either go hang out with him when he calls you, like everyone else does, or call him at around 12:30 pm. He doesn't answer after around 3 pm, and for me, seemed to bitch if you call him earlier than noon. I had to get him way up for the liberty city 5 achievement, as he was at like 40%. He's an annoying person to have to go hang out with.

I felt bad for him, i was like "Playboy is seisty and dwaynes old school and so was nico so I figured MAYBE somehow in the plotline that dwayne would become bigtime again instead he complains and STILL has a bad answering message

Finally beat the game...

Took the revenge route because Kate asked me to and Dimitri was a dickweed the whole game. Also, I let Darko go instead of blasting him, so Niko wanted some kind of revenge for his troubles... had to take the revenge. I saved before I made that decision though, so I'm definitely gonna play the ending via the deal route and see how it changes things.

As far as Dwayne, I killed Playboy because he was a poser and because he didn't treat his homie right after he got out of the pen. Dwayne seemed like a genuine dude and Playboy wasn't throwing him a bone. Hah, plus I wanted Playboy's pad -- dude had to get got haha..

Still need to so all the little friend missions, pigeons (if I bother), stunt jumps (more fun that pigeons, but still might not bother), races, and more of the Exotic Imports missions.

For those who also have beat the game, do the random friends still pop up after the story is complete? Or do I need to find them before the story is over?

The least favorite things are the races man. Heck, even the pigeons are some fun since you usually get a cop on you. I wish R* would have made you race in a certain car or at least generate a field that was in the same class as the car you pulled up in.

As for Dwayne

Dude was a major Debbie Downer, but I felt sorry for him. Hell, he gets out of his jail, his "friend" basically scoops away his empire from him, tries to contract Niko into killing him, and basically gives Dwayne the cold shoulder. Playboy was low-life - Dwayne was just depressed. I would have liked it if there was a mission line for Dwayne that actually got him feeling better - you know, let him retake some of his old stomping grounds.

You guys are dissin' on the races because they're too easy, right? If so, I kinda like that, actually. How awful would it be if they were hard and you had to do them over a bunch of times? Last thing I want in my GTA experience is some five-lap race that I have to do six times before I win.

Agreed on Dwayne -- wish there was more for him in the story. And the races -- they are pretty damn lame. Even if the opponents weren't such terrible drivers it would make them much more competitive. There is enough stuff to crash into and whatnot to make you slow down so that they could at least be close in an inferior vehicle, but they're just such terrible drivers that they're behind you after turn #2 and never come back. But yeah, better that than ridiculously hard.. would suck to try a long race and wreck into some a-hole blowing through the intersection and end up losing..

I was hating on the races because they're horrible. Sure, they're easy, but needlessly easy. I'd be fine if it had better AI, or even put them in better vehicles. I actually had races where one of the guys was in a moonbeam van. It's just incredibly boring to do a 6 lap race when the other guys wreck out before the 3rd turn due to their horrible AI having trouble with traffic or even keeping on course. They could have even given them rubber band AI and I wouldn't have cared.

On the other hand, the ones in vice city were pretty hard sometimes.

Dwayne didn't care about the money though. He just wanted him and Playboy to roll again and hang out and Playboy wanted nothing to do with him.

I liked the races in VC and SA. I thought they were pretty good challenges. They weren't so hard that you couldn't beat them in one try, but at least you could look back and, you know, actually see the other drivers behind you. In IV if you can see a competitor behind you after the first lap, you're not doing something right.

Does Roman die in both endings. I picked Deal, and he got shot at the wedding. If I would have known he was going to die, I would have chosen revenge instead.

Also, now that the game is over, is Roman still dead? I liked hanging out with him.

No, he only dies in the deal. Kate dies in the revenge. Roman stays dead

I think Kate's "liking" of Niko should have been set up like the rest of his friends and have given her a perk too. I would have felt more attached to her liked I did with his other friends.
