Thanks a bunch guys, tons of help. The process you described DXZeke is what I did and it worked fine so I figured as long as its working then Im good, Then I started worrying that everything I did while logged out of my PSN ID wouldnt transfer over to the Rockstar Social Club website, and it probably wont I would imagine, but I figured I would ask anyways. Thanks again guys, tons of help.

Re: GTA Screwed me.
Makes me start to wonder if the freezing issue isnt due to the game trying to report to the Rockstar Social Club and not being able to, so it constantly sits there and keeps trying. Im probably way off and I dont pretend to know much about these type of things but I wouldnt be surprised if that was the case.
EDIT- Just to add to this, and it could be pure coincidence, but my freezing problem started the very first time I played after linking my PSN ID with the Rockstar Social Club, so like I said, it could be coincidence but its worth nothing anyways. This could also explain why some arent seeing it, maybe they havent linked it at all so the problem isnt effecting them.Last edited by The Chef; 05-03-2008, 06:48 PM.Comment

Re: GTA Screwed me.
I picked up a copy from GameStop today (xbox 360) to replace my freezing copy I had. I asked the employee if he had any calls about freezing and he said just one, so I hope this new copy works. Wish me luck!

I really think this is a gamer server issue that's causing the mess and not something else grander... which would explain the same issues that the 360 owners would be having.BeyondMediaOnline.comComment

Re: GTA Screwed me.
On a side note, Ive asked previously, but is anyone trying to get all of the pigeons or are you just ignoring them and sticking with the storyline and online? For some reason Im trying to get them this time, even though I never tried to get the hidden packages in any of the previous GTA games, so far I have 45 but its tough locating some of them, even with getting an idea as to where to look.Comment

Nah, its random on what is going on in LC. I got that error when I was connected.Comment

Re: GTA Screwed me.
The pigeons are the equivalent of the hidden packages from previous versions, there are 200 of them and since Im attempting to finish with a clean 100%, you have to kill all 200 of them. In terms of finding them, there are maps all over the internet to show you where they are located, which I might add, avoid the IGN ones as they are completely wrong in some areas and will drive you nuts trying to find them, but its an entertaining side thing to do when taking a break from the main story.Comment

Re: GTA Screwed me.
How many of you guys that are having trouble with the ps3 version are connected using the wireless? The reason I ask is because I was having freezing/lockup problems with the wireless but now I'm hooked up with an ethernet cable and the game is running fine. Just finished playing online and offline for a while... everything ran perfectly. Now, more than everComment

Re: GTA Screwed me.
I played 6 hours straight last night and about 1.5 hours this morning with my new copy of GTA for the 'Box and no freeze ups. I guess my first disc was just a bad one.
