I hope they do at least a San Andreas type of game with 3 different cities.

I mean, GTA4 is great and all, but outside of New York, the only city I can think of with anywhere near as many distinguishable landmarks is DC, and you can't really go shooting up the Capitol. Yeah, we've all seen Miami before, but to outsiders, there's not much that would be worthy mimicking realistically.

I'd like to see a Texas/Mexico game. Use Houston, SA or Dallas, and Tijuana. Maybe even LA again. With actual current warring between cartels and police, human trafficking, and other issues, I think it'd make a great game, that would be somewhat different from the typical gangs and mafia.

Grand Theft Auto: Mistake on the Lake

Get in fights in the Dawg Pound, have gun battles in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, get drunk at Great Lakes Brewery, visit the gentlemen's clubs in the Flats, meet with mob bosses in Little Italy, get healthy at the Cleveland Clinic, have deathmatches in abandoned steel mills...awesome!


I also wouldn't mind seeing a different spin on the game - play as a cop. (anybody remember the Police Quest series on PC?) You'd have specific missions to complete as you went from rookie beat cop to undercover detective. Plus you could just roam around the city busting criminals or helping people. You could still have dating, getting drunk and the option to become a crooked cop.

I think the next GTA should take place in a completely fictional city. That way the writers and developers have maximum creative potential, instead of feeling constrained to making the environment and storyline replicate the characteristics of an actual city.
