From reading this thread this game is definetly on my radar now. From the videos I have seen this game looks like kind of the style of a Kill Bill movie. It that a good description of the story?

First time I've read somebody mention Kill Bill and it's a fairly accurate description. Throw in some Grindhouse, Matrix, and Cowboy Bebop, you got an even better idea. It's over-the-top and tongue in cheek intentionally.

I want to play this, but the PS3 version is gimped......wonder if I would notice anything having not tried the 360 version.

The only issue that seems to be bothering people that picked up the PS3 is the loading times. Apparently, SEGA is working on a patch to fix them, but nothing has been confirmed.

It is very different in the way it tells the story. To be honest I am not 100% sure what the story is. Something to do with heaven forsaken her for taking sides with the evil side.

It is told in a mixture of cut scenes, comic book style cutscenes which are really neat. The lips don't move when they talk, bodies don't move, etc. But the ambiance stuff like rain, wind, etc all are animated. It is hard to explain but it is a very artsy way to tell the story.

I am not a huge fan of how the story is told. I find it to be chopped up but I am sure it will have a cult following in that regard.

The true beauty of the game is honestly the gameplay. It is fast, extremely fluid, you almost feel apart of Bayonetta, and is extremely rewarding of user skill. Don't buy the game for the story, buy it for the amazing gameplay and the ever changing levels and set pieces.

A true master piece is Bayonetta

You get so many more halos on Hard. I got almost 50K on the very first verse. Moon accessory is awesome. It completely changes the gameplay by allowing you to parry attacks like in Street Fighter III.

What's you guys favorite weapon combinations?

I like the sword and durga claws on feet - lightning claws mostly, but I quickly switch to fire with Witch Time activated to do some serious damage. I like the whip and ice skates as my second combo - the ice skates are just so much fun. Scarborough fair and Lt. Col is a good combo too.

Wow, im only about 3 hours in. and im loving it, yet im nowhere near having as much stuff as you acquired and now i can't wait to go home and acquire all those kick *** weapons!

Well I am almost complete first play through. I am on Chapter 14 I think.

One of the best action games ever. If you have not bought Bayonetta....................What in the world are you waiting for

I got to say the one boss battle I HATED. Was the one with the three ships. You have to destroy them and leap from the destroyed ship to the next one. The problem is there is not alot of room to dodge the incoming missles, lasers, or hooks trying to grab you. So I spent many times falling off a boat or getting stuck and nailed with like 10 missles. Half life gone in a matter of milliseconds.

I thought this game looked dumb at first, then I DL'd the demo and immediately went out and bought the game. I'm digging this more than Darksiders at the moment.

i rented bayonetta while i thought the cutscenes where cool i wasnt digging the gameplay its not my type of thing to each its own.

LOL I am completely backwards. I think the cut scenes are "uhhhhhh" but the gameplay is "WOW"

12th Alfheim portal is no joke. I just spent over an hour trying and finally succeeded with only 3 seconds left to spare. Closing in on 20 hours playtime, and still have 9 portals left, hard and non-stop climax difficulties to complete.

no on page 10 i said i rented it. I knew i was probably not gonna like it because i am not a dmc fan but the way flawless described it i had to give it a try.

i think the game is a good game and i might have bought it but with this 1st quarter with so many games i think i might get this for 20-30 bucks later after march.

not my cup of tea tho.

Beat the game last night at just under 17 1/2 hours. I enjoyed every bit of it. The story was a little confusing, but the combat in this game is some of the best I have played. The extras at the end of the game are a nice bonus. Can't wait to go through it again on hard.
