I sure wish they'd release the whole Car Wheels on a Gravel Road by Lucinda. What a tremendous album.

I'm HUGE Jimmy Eat World fan, and I must say that while they have some bigger hits (Pain and Work to name two), Futures and Sweetness are unbelievably awesome. Lucky Denver Mint is good too.

I'm having problems downloading specifically the Jimmy Eat World Track Pack... XBOX Live says it can't access my account information to download the item. However, I do not run into this problem when attempting other Rock Band downloads (including the Jimmy Eat World tracks by themselves; I've not gotten them yet however as I'm trying to get the bundle to save points), or other game downloads (I can download FIFA 09 alternate commentary). Any ideas?

"The amount being paid to the music industry, even though [these] games are entirely dependent on the content we own and control, is far too small," Warner Music Group CEO Edgar Bronfman told analysts last summer. The money Warner receives for the use of its songs is "paltry," he said, and if the gamemakers don't pony up more cash, "we will not license to those games." In response, Rock Band publisher MTV Games is now boycotting Warner artists, according to a source close to the negotiations.

How does this play out? Gamemakers could respond by using cover versions of songs from the Warner catalog, but Bronfman already has that move blocked. He also runs the giant music publisher Warner/Chappell, and he could deny the game companies access there, too.

Anybody that stupid to understand that this is the closest thing to radio airplay they're gonna get for some of these artists shouldn't work in the industry.

There's teen age kids hearing bands they'd NEVER listen to thanks to this game. Leave it to the executives in the music industry to be as clueless about it as possible.

For every label that prices themselves out of this game, there will be another that gladly pushes their acts using this medium.

Well said Jistic. No one wins with bonehead moves like these. Warner is missing out on a huge avenue for their artists to gain support, and Rock Band players get the shaft with less DLC variety.

Exactly. This reminds me of when SNL finally became relevant again with the Natalie Portman rap song - which they then sought to ban from the entire internet so nobody could see it. Um, that's called free advertising, geniuses.

100% agreed. This sequence of events benefits no one; Warner now gets no money, their bands get less exposure through the game, those bands' fans don't get to play their favorite songs on Rock Band, and players who are not fans will no longer discover these bands through the Rock Band medium.

The music industry is not very progressive. Remember how slow they were to accept mp3's as a way of distributing music?
