WHOOO!!! Finally finished the game last night. I received all the endings except for Crowe's and Faize's epilogues. . I don't know if I'm going to get into all the extra content or not, but the ending was really great. I enjoyed every minute of the game. Can't wait for the next RPG for the 360 to come along. Until then, I have Sacred 2 and the Orange Box to hold me over.

Congrats man, you should definitely check out the end game content though. It's a lot of fun. Coliseum is fun too once you get in the top ten.

Hopefully I will sometime, but level 200 and still getting beat up? Geesh. I finished at level 97 with Edge and Reimi. I have Meracle and Sarah in the 80's and the rest are sitting around the 60/70 range. It would take me forever.

Nah, I just think it was more a matter of my preparedness for the fight moreso than the level. I was still wearing XP equipment that I had synthed (synthesized?) so I wasn't using the strongest weapons and armor I could. I only had one healer too (Myuria) and even though she has fast casting, she couldn't keep up with the damage I was taking plus rezzing dead members. I am going to try again with a different set up.

Reimi and Arumat for damage, Sarah for heals and Myuria for off dps and off heals, plus I remembered to take off the XP equipment since I am level capped at the moment (don't have 50% of battle trophies for everyone, just Edge and Reimi). I am confident I can beat him. I just had to level Sarah for a bit (she's still only 130 but I am going to go back anyway, nothing to lose).

Star Ocean: The Last Hope PS3 Really Is International

Looks like the PlayStation 3 version of Star Ocean: The Last Hope International got its expanded name for a reason, shipping simultaneously across the globe in February.

We knew it was coming to Japan, and now we know it's coming everywhere else, as Square Enix announces a February 9th North American ship date for Star Ocean: The Last Hope International, the PS3 version of the former Xbox 360 exclusive RPG. Along with both English and Japanese, the game will also feature German, French, and Spanish, making it even more international than we first suspected.

Along with the previously discussed battle system tweaks and menu changes, the official announcement says the game now features "amazing graphics through Blu-ray Disc," whatever that means.

1UP: Last Hope International Review - B

The PS3 version of Star Ocean 4, while coming out a year after its 360 counterpart, at least brings a few highly desirable additions. For one, you can listen to all the game's dialogue in Japanese -- a feature more games should include (It even made me want to play through the game without the voiceacting turned off completely!). And you can swap the game's menus to a brighter, more anime-inspired look. If, like me, you thought the 360's 3D character portraits looked out of place, it's nice to switch over to the original Japanese art.

Minor tweaks to the battle system didn't make a huge difference in my impression of the combat, which is still fun if a bit grindy and button mashy. And visually, there's practically no difference at all between the two games. It might not be a reason to sink in another 40 hours if you've already played through it on 360, but if you held off on getting the game last year, your patience has definitely paid off. The PS3 International version of Star Ocean 4 is undeniably the superior game.

Might get this next week as well, changing the VOs is huge because the voices of the characters in english was a major turnoff. I couldn't play this without the game on mute.

Just picked up my copy, starting it now.

BTW, a girl that looks conspicuously like Welch is on the back cover...dunno if she was in the 360 game or not. It just struck me because next to her is a box detailing the PS3 game's exclusives.

Ah, okay. I've been purposely avoiding info about this game for a long time.

Expect a 5 minute install to the HD the first time you start the game up...not sure about the actual size, I'll check when I'm done playing (gonna be awhile )
