Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
So I did the math: 15/month or lifetime @ $199(13 months worth???? I plan on living longer than that and if the game is as good as it looks, I'll play it longer than that too. lol). Do you know what $199/13 months equals? $15.30........ Hmm...... Am I missing something?LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOO MOUNTAINEERS!

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
That is the million dollar question right now.
I think you will like it if you like MMO's and/or Super Heroes. I like both so it seems like it would be right up my alley. If not, then maybe you should wait and see.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
I am curious to see how big the community will be on the PS3. I know pc will have a large community as mmo's are made with the pc in mind. Does the game say how many people are online?"If you don't have anything good to say, say it often"- Ed the sockComment

If i get it, it will certainly be on the PC for MMOs. Trying to find impressions on it, but not having much luck so far.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
Yeah, and that doesn't impress me. I'll wait for more impressions here and official reviews, but I'm kinda worried about the depth and variety of things to do. While I only played COH after release (before COV), it was somewhat pared down from WoW and other MMO's, so paring it down even more seems a little bare bones. I'll wait and see what people think after release, not a big enough comic guy to buy in just cause it's DC.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment

But I'd guess that a great majority of gamers only spend a few months on any MMO. Heck, on any game. I can count on one hand how many games, sports and non-sports, that I've played beyond 3 months.
So DC probably figures most people will see that cost and figure it's a steal when reality is, most of the people who buy this game will probably only play it less than 6 months and never bother with it again.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
Bought it and played it.
It's good if you like superheros.
It's basically WOW but with superheros, from what I've seen. That being said, it's pretty awesome.
I think if you like DC Comics, it's a must buy.Too Old To Game Club

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
I want to see how smooth the PS3 version is to a few OSers before I decide to get it, if it is really really smooth and people seem to love it then I'll look past the $15 a month and get it.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
I cant wait to read what you have to say about it. It was on my must buy list and I even had it pre ordered at Gamestop. I went in today and decided not to buy it. The thought of the $15 a month still keeps me away for now. I ended up putting some money down on LBP2 & Two Worlds.

The setting is awesome and the powers are cool. If you like MMO's, and you are a comic fan, I definitely recommend this game. If you don't like comics or MMO's...I'd say be careful.
This game does feel much more MMO Adventure than MMO RPG. Sure there is a skill tree and such, but the gameplay is more action. The camera is decent and the game play, from what I've played is good.
If we could get a few OSers together, it might be a really good game. It's not groundbreaking or anything like that, except for the fact that there is a TON of DC characters in the game, but it is fun. Is it 14.99 per month fun...ehhh, I don't know.
BTW, the opening to this game is just incredible. Especially the fact that they make every big name superhero or villian look like a total bad ***. In fact, the whole game stays VERY true to the DC universe. It is, for all intents and purposes, like playing a comic book.Too Old To Game Club
