    Tried.

Took me a while to realize the item I was trying to give you wasn't tradeable.

I put pass on the loot but I still took it. Make sure you at least roll for the group loot cuz I didn't need those shoulder pads.

I actually felt kinda bad helping you. It kinda felt like I took some kills from you just trying to control the enemies.

Ah well, you'll be up near me in no time. If anyone else needs help...I'll be on pretty much all night Wednesday I do believe.

I didn't even know how to roll. Was there a prompt when Grodd was killed? No biggie. I'm sure I'll pick up better gear as I level. Don't feel bad. I needed the help as I'm still getting used to the game. I did pick up 3 levels today so level 6 now with a bar to go until 7

Really enjoying this game so far. I'm sure it would be much more fluid with a controller, but oh well.

The main thing I'm liking is the open pvp. When I finished the noob area for the first time I walked out into gotham and was immediately ganked by a lvl 30. About 5 of us sitting there at the start though went after him and took him down (I had the kill shot woot )

I'm level 8 and I've done nothing but solo. Hopefully my friend doesn't flake out on me and we can find a few more people to group up with.

On another note, I'll resume my Shazam character tomorrow. He'll be my PVP character for arenas and such. I'm loving this game....really fun stuff

If we really wanted to PVP, I'm open to having a PVP server as well.

lol if you guys did that then I'd really regret getting it for PC.

But I would recommend it anyway. You do have to be willing to shrug off getting ganked from time to time, but as long as you can do that then I'm sure you'll have a blast.

I'm a pvper in MMOs so I'm definitely bias here, but I don't think I could play this game on pve alone. The pvp gives the game an extra level of depth. You can be trying to fulfill some quest line but then you have to put that on pause and fight it out with some enemies who just entered the the fray. There hasn't been any shortage of people around to help out either if there are higher levels.

Just my .02 though since I'm on PC.

We can still stay on our server now and do arenas and such. The gear you can get is pretty sweet. OSU, have you run alerts yet? I appreciated all your help man. You can help my lowbies anytime lol

The lag spike was very noticable late last night, in fact it almost got me killed..err "knocked out". Some guy bit off more than he could chew with the Gorillas over by the Ferris wheel and it suddenly & briefly reminded me of the old Everquest days because he had a huge train of Gorillas chasing him down lol

I could see it now "/shout train to..." hehehe

Anyways me and some other low level characters doing the missions in the area cleaned them out, but because of that lag I had to drink one of those sodas when I barely noticed my screen going deep red then almost black & white. I didn't get knocked out but it was close (I almost forgot it was R2+O to drink it on the fly).

Man it really is addicting, I started playing around 9:15 or so last night and played till midnight.

Both me & my sons initial toons are only 5 & 7 but it is really fun, his guy kicks way more *** at soloing then my guy. Since he picked Batman as his mentor he is in dark Gotham & I'm in sunny Metropolis (I chose Supes to mentor me), looks like we are playing different games lol. I'm fighting Grodd's Gorillas and he is fighting Braniac's robots.

I'm also in sunny Metropolis with my Superman-mentored hero. I'm going to rotate around my toons to get a feel of which one I'll stick with to level 30.

I haven't had major issues with quests yet. i did get knocked out once because of the lag. OSU's level 15 character did help me out a ton though - especially in the part where you save Flash.

Love this game. Bolt - once we get to level 8, we should try running an alert or something.

I'm sooo tempted to buy this game. Is there a monthly charge to play online ? I thought I read that somewhere.

I hit level 30 now and have had a blast the entire way. Decided to switch it up and roll on a pvp server...holy heck! Made it to level 9 and thought I had accomplished something lol.

It's $14.99 per month and if you like DC Comics or comics in general, you need to play this game. It's just wayy too much fun. It's not really a grind too - I started a character yesterday and by the time I logged out, I was at level 6 almost 7 after 3 hours of play

If you get the PS3 version, Birthright are where a lot of us play and we're thinking of starting our own OS league.

How long did it take for you to hit level 30 and were you able to solo your way through?

Agreed. My first alert (area 51) was awesome with a good group of four. I use a staff and my powers are Telekenesis/Illusion. Love being able to play the controller role, but really wanna create a healer.
