Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
I have questions...
I noticed you pick up new gear along the way from playing. My question is this, is there a way to wear equipment but not have it change the way your toon looks? How exactly does the mic work? I cant seem to get it to work, or is it that you can only use voice communication when in groups?
My hero kinda looks like Colossus from X-Men, he uses flight, is a brawler and has ice. Can any of that stuff be changed after you create your toon? (the brawler, ice, flight stuff not the looks) I did notice you can change his looks & colors after you created your toon.
I'm done for the night, the download plus installation on my PS3 took roughly 3.5 to 4hrs Then to get through that initial part where you are on Braniacs ship well that was quite easy. I really didn't need Supes help lol.Last edited by Boltman; 01-15-2011, 09:14 AM.Comment

The mics only work in groups and the mic as to be on when you start the game up.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
When you press start and get the toolbar at the bottom, goto the 2nd one with the facemask. From there you can select the lock-all or you can go through and pick which slots you want to lock. That will keep your current style while equipping your newest gear.

I guess I will need to go rummage for my old usb keyboard then since voice is only for groups.
A quick question on colors, I get confused big time in the in game editing colors screen. I can't seem to get the colors I want on the skin or the individual gear pieces. Is it me or does the skin only show the first slot color and the other two are blacked out?Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
I'm really enjoying it too although I'm debating whether I should restart my character and build a Batman inspired one or a Superman inspired one. I started off as a Flash inspired character, but when I started fighting with Superman, I was like, cool...
Hmm...going to do some thinking. Loving the game so far, but I feel like a complete noob missing stuff and what not
How does the vault work and could I ever unlock emblems of current heroes/villains?Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
so my roommate got this for his PS3 and has been playing it a lot. But in some spare time I created a character. Here a pic:
He dual-wields swords, with ice as his power. He's a hero with Superman as his mentor.
His name: MUSTACHE RIDELux y VeritasComment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
hah thanks. Sorry about the angle of the pic, but I play on a projector so if I stand directly in front of the screen I either block the view or a massive shadow makes things look bad.
I was hoping to play some today but my roommate hasn't stopped playing since he woke up.Lux y VeritasComment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
Well after reading about this game here and the DC site I'm picking this game up in the next few days. I'll be starting with a hero and I guess everyone on PS3 is going to the Birthright. Looking forward to playing with some OSer'sI've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
I really want to try this game out. Especially after hitting up the DC forums and hearing people cry about getting ganked on the pvp servers (haha sorry I just find some of the "honor" complaints people used in open pvp to be hilarious, but I digress).
I have serious concerns about the end-game content though. More precisely the lack of it. As far as I can tell you get up to level 30 and that's it. You're options at that point are to grind out for new gear or start a new character. I know this is pretty standard for MMOs these days, I'm just hoping that DCUO has something more to offer.
Anyone have any kind of insight here?
p.s. Any word on when DCUO will start offering free trials?Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
Made it to level 6 with my hero - Skydive on Birthright. He's inspired by Batman and Martial Arts with acrobatics. Costume is a black-ops stealth inspired one closer to Nightwing
I'm starting a character named Perceptor though soon - he will be my Superman inspired character. Going to keep the core colors of Superman as I honestly think that's a classicComment
