Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
Great review, I have some questions if that's ok.
You said you purchased the lifetime subscription, may I ask how much that exactly is?
You said it doesn't feel like a grind at all, so leveling is quite quick & easy? BTW What is the current level cap?
Now my last question is kinda weird but since it is an MMO I want to know. Is this game even in the slightest anything like Evercrack or WOW? Not in the gameplay sense, but more in the sense of does it feel as consuming of your time to get into coordinating a raid (or whatever it would be called in this world) or taking down a huge mob?
Thanks in advance bro.
Lifetime sub is $199. If you break that down that is little over a year. After that though you play for free. I did the same thing with Champions Online and I'm glad I did. Sometimes after paying $15 a month, an MMO might make you feel like you have to play or you aren't getting your moneys worth. I pay the lifetime sub and I play when I want without the guilt. I know this MMO is going to be around for more than a year, so I know I'm going to come out on top on this deal.
Grind question was answered by another poster. Currently Lvl cap is at 30. To me it is not high enough. I hope they raise that number. After one day I hit lvl 11, so I'm almost halfway to cap. Not good in my eyes. I want the journey to last longer. (Looking at it another way though, that is less grinding to the cap)
Your last question I can't answer, because I've only been with the game for one day (Not counting Beta). I will say this...This game was made with the solo gamer in mind. All the missions that I have encountered, I have done myself. There are raids in this game (those really open up at lvl 30), and there are grouping aspects to this game. I just haven't experienced them yet.
Note: I did run into Bizzaro yesterday. I saw him and said, "Ah, what the hell. I can take him..." Three hits later I was KO'd.It was awsome!

Haha, yeah I ran into Flash I was dead real quick. I am sure that they will raise the cap sometime. Working as the Joker's mentor is great.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
Okay....
Potentially big problem here. I just tried to start playing tonight, and it tells me to enter my voucher code. I tried to enter it, and it said it was in use. Of course, because I already entered it. Anyone else having this tonight?
Maybe it is down far maintenance now?
EDIT: Nevermind. I just quit the game, and I restarted, and I am playing again.Last edited by LingeringRegime; 01-12-2011, 11:57 PM.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
I picked up the PS3 versionI thought about PC, but at the end of the day, I didn't want to worry about specs and stuff. I actually had a harder time finding the game as all the Gamestops were sold out of the PS3 versions. What servers are people playing on? I'd like to join one with a bunch of OS'ers.

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3)
Any particular reason you chose that server?
Just wondering because after reading everything so far in just a day and a half so far it looks like I should have picked it up yesterday.
It looks real promising, I want to get it now early before I start to late and have to let it sit there for an hour's worth of updates lol.
I really do think I'll be picking this up after all, sometime by the weekend. Being a former severe Evercrack addict, I'm kinda scared to venture into this MMO.Comment
