Just a heads up to anyone on the fence about DC universe and wanting to see the beta.* If you pre order before the 15th and send a pic of the receipt through the website you get invited to the beta by Nov. 30th.* I reordered and sent the image today and actually got the invite soon after.

Beta right now is for pc which you can still sign up for by sending a pic of your reciept. The PS3 beta will hopefully start soon and you can sign up in the same fashion.

Based on some impressions the game seems really addicting and fun, despite the bugs. But it's a beta though. I see the game is now rumored to come out March or April which is disappointing.

Since the NDA has been lifted here are my takes on the PC beta

It runs and looks great. It is definitely a game built for the controller as I didn't care for the kb/mouse setup. The character customization isn't as deep as games like CoH or Champions Online is and that is a little. I stopped at level 10 because I didn't want to hit max level and ruin the whole experience. I will probably start a new character whenever there is a patch to see what fixed and whatnot.

I am a little worried they will end up treating the PS3 version like EQOA on PS2 and just stop supporting it.
