Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
Trying to squeeze this one in before the Show drops? We also have started an OS league to if you would like to join. I am the current leader so if you send me your character name, and are playing on BirthRight I can add you to the league. I am also trying to get a team event going this weekend for everybody in the league or maybe next as I have not gotten a whole lot of response.

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
I'm thinking about it. The only thing holding me back is the monthly (or lifetime) charge. I played the demo and liked it a good bit, I used to be really heavy into DC comics as well so I really like the premise of the game. I will definitely join OS league if I get the game, thanks for the invitation.
If you decide to do it I would do it it soon. They are running a promotional pricing on the monthly fee. It is 29.99 instead of the usual. I think it ends up being $15 cheeper each three months. This offer expires at the end of Febuary.

It is a whole lot of fun. I am a huge fan of the DC Universe and still collect most of the books to this day. It really is a blast interacting with that world and the characters in it.

I read DC comics for about 20 years of my life but quit cold turkey about 3 years ago or so, it just got too expensive because I got about 10-15 monthly titles. I've gone back to reading the Superman titles and the Legion of Superhero titles now though. I still love them.

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
I already did just about every mission that was available before 30 but I had one left that for whatever reason I never got around to. It is the level 29 Brother Eye mission. The underground OMAC base one.
Now it was familiar to me because I have done the kind of hard OMAC duo before. I tried to do this thing solo since it is only rated a level 29 mission. Damn it's hard! I even have some real good gear and a 77.9 dps weapon but I can't for the life of me do this damn thing! Did you do it solo? If so how did you do it?
I want to do it alone because I had previously done all of my pre 30 missions solo and don't want to change it on this last one I have. Hell, the saving Superman mission was cake compared to this and that was a level 30 mission.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
Crazy that you have to fight Croc and Deathstroke at the same time in the Bane duo!
That ending mission is kind of a pain, you can always leave mid mission go back to the station and repair your gear then quickly go fly back inside. I really don't know how I passed that thing at only level 27 and solo (never got someone to help me). But I did get Aquaman's belt and a nice chest out of it.
Altimus, I have a question for you.

PCgamer's Four part interview with the game director.
Last week, I had the opportunity to interview DC Universe Online's Game Director Chris Cao. We talked about everything from what bugs the dev team is focusing on fixing first, March's big update, future power and weapon sets being added to the game and if they're planning to add mod support for the PC version. We'll be releasing a new portion of the interview every day this week up throughComment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
PvE is the type of server you are on. It is either PvE or PvP. PvP is a player vs player server were your pvp tag is always on and everyone can kill each other (even lvl 30's killing lvl 5's is allowed hehe).
PvE is a non pvp server in which you have to toggle your pvp flag to on or go to a designated pvp area if you want to duke it out with other players. On PvE you can only fight the mobs and not one another unless you do as I stated earlier.Comment

Re: DC Universe Online (PS3/PC)
Regarding the PVP, I'm PVE but I almost always roll with my flag off and usually fight a couple randoms a day. Sometimes it's funny as I'm chilling on a roof top waiting for my friends to login and a villain will show up, wait for a little bit thinking I'm MIA and attack. Thing is they soon learn they made a mistake.
Also, since the patch the Gotham University duo is glitched as there appear two Ises. If you dont' beat them another glitch happens in the second try where the scorcher scarabs just keep coming from the beginning. Has anyone been successful at beating both? I am got really close today but my partner died and there was no way I was going to survive out with two Ises and over 30 enemies coming at me.Comment
