Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
actually, if you mean they are less responsive during firefights or while injured, then it is suppose to be that way... the "morale" section of the handbook describes that your teammates may lose morale during heavy firefights which leads to them less likely to listen to you b/c you, as the commanding officer, have lead them into a firestorm already...My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

I played a few Games of infiltration and Anhilation and I am not impressed. For me it was Laggy and pretty much boring. I think I will stick to the single player and Coop for this one...My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
just had awesome matches of anhiliation. getting better at sniping too. I went 20-4 in a 30min match!
There are more maps btw lol... and I started playing ranked because there's no point in playing player matches. And harcore is crazy...zero hud, no compass, no enemy vs friendly indicator. all you have is communication and the map.
It's a great feeling picking people off in this game. I got a gunner on a jeep from about 250m away and almost jumped out of my seat.
there are some issues though...I hit some guys multiple times without killing them with the sniper - that shouldn't happen. Like one guy was 5 times...I hope it's either an anomaly or patched.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
Same here. Maybe because there was not too many people this late on PS3 but in about 2 hours of play I got 3 games in. Most matches ended ether because of lag or the host disconnects. I haven't tried Co-op yet. The respawning system is a little weird also. I usually get dropped back in where I died. So the enemy is just opening fire still. There was some tense moments, but because of the openness of the map it was hard to get everyone together.Comment

Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
For those playing campaign by themselves, how well do your squadmates respond to your command? Is the in-game menu easy to navigate?
I know that it's best played with co-op, but just wanted to see if the single player experience was still worth purchasing. IGN's review said that your squadmates weren't always the greatest in terms of doing what you needed them to you, as well as accessing your menus was a bit wonky.
And regarding the morale system it's funny and unnerving because you can hear them screaming when you are pinned down.
The Campaign is lots of fun though. The AI deficiencies does not take that away IMO. It's a great experience regardless.Comment

Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
Love the game! Played more after Yankee game and it is a blast. If people are looking or expecting a COD clone this ain't it. Different beast. Missions can and more than likely will take a bit more time to complete as you just cant go running around. Have to plan it out and take your time.
I think I'll be switching to hardcore tonight as I love the hud being clean and not have a lot of stuff spoon fed to me.
I love the missions where you need to take care of an area before a planned attack etc... adds a sense of "get it done!..lives depend on it!" mood.Joshua:

Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
I like the game as well, But for me when trying to play multiplayer i find myself getting alot of connection errors for some reason. And getting used to the controls and learning how to send my guys to diffrent spots, or each of them to different areas. and i was playing last night and i heard a guy say that it was tough to fly a chopper....Not to me it wasn't. But all in all i am STOKED about this game!!!Favorite Teams

Re: E3 - Operation Flashpoint2 - hardcore fps
Can you play Co-op with less the 4 players?
My brothers want to pick this up so we can play together, but there are only 3 of us. Can the 4th be an AI soldier? I don't want them to spend money if it won't work. Thanks.Comment

TIP: To switch fireteams in multiplayer before the game starts, hit the back button on your controller. Holy ****, I could not figure that out for the life of me yesterday. Anyway, this game is a blast. Most of you probably knew that, but not super genius here.Last edited by Matt Diesel; 10-08-2009, 02:11 PM.Return of the MackComment
