Just got through the first boss, and it's getting more addictive as I go on. Collecting guns is awesome and there's such a variety. Glad tomorrow night's my night to chill/game. Not sure it's as deep as Fallout3, but it's damn fun and has me wanting to play more. Brutal Legend just hasn't hooked me like this yet.

 Re: Borderlands

I can attest that the game does get better. I will stress when you play your game to play with with open to xbox live if you have a gold membership.

Coop is rediculously fun with this game. Most people that join me have mics too, so its cool meeting new people. Also, you can always boot the *******s.

To the people with the claptrap just standing at the garage door, I had that happen to me and had to start over as well; must be a bug. Haven't seen any other bugs since.Comment

I am a level 9, just curious if enemies at some point (especially humanoid enemies) ever take cover, or do they just stop and shoot all the time? that's me knock on the gane right now.Comment

 Arrrrrgh me knock too matey!

I really don't like the driving controls, a bit too clumsy for me.

It's a pretty fun game, there are areas that are not quite as polished as I would like. But, it's great to wander around and kill things and take their money and guns. Some of those Psychos are crazy looking, imagine that. Last edited by LingeringRegime; 10-23-2009, 10:42 AM. Last edited by LingeringRegime; 10-23-2009, 10:42 AM.Comment

Yeah co-op is great and I've never played a game with anyone else outside of one level on the first Gears but I'm looking forward to playing this with people alot more.I can attest that the game does get better. If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

 Re: Borderlands

Yeah you can duel with people on your team which is basically just two guys trying to kill one another and there are arenas where you can fight other people. I don't how the arenas are cause I haven't tried them yet but you can play against people instead of working together all the time.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Re: Borderlands

I'm up to a level 22 or so Hunter. I rented it, so i don't have the manual. I have a few questions though.

some guns have a multiplier on the damage, how does that work. I have a shotgun that does 57 x11 damage. does that literally mean 57x11, or something else. I have another shotgun that does 256 or so damage without a multiplier. I've seen pistols have the multipliers as well.

also, when playing co-op. do you have to be the same level as someone? or is it similar to the co-op in Fable 2, where you are only a "guest" of player 1 and the game story progress does not save. I'm guessing experience/money/weapons would save?Comment

 Re: Borderlands

The multiplier on the shotgun means how many projectiles are fired with each shot. For Example, I had a shotgun that did 42X12, Each projectile did 42 damage so if i hit someone with it up close I could hit them for 504 DMG. Occasionially you will find a shotgun that also has a elemental Effect, The Elemental effects range from X1-X4, that means the element will burn from 1-4 seconds. I have a sniper rifle that does 326 DMG with X4 Fire, It will usually only take 1 shot to kill a regular bad guy, sometimes 2.I'm up to a level 22 or so Hunter. The way Coop works is you can jump in and out of other coop games and progress your story along with the host. If you are a couple missions behind, the host may not be able to play a certain story branch because you have not gotten there. if you are ahead you will just replay the same missions, but you wont get the XP for when the host turns them in. Last Night i was a little behind someone I played with, So I played the missions i did not get to then Went back and completed the missions by myself that he had already did.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment
