I would like to thanks fellow OSers in this thread with thier impressions and answering my Questions. If I never visited this thread I would of never got to play one of the most enjoyable games I have ever played.

Return to Ostagar release for the PS3 should be out sometime tonight between 8:45-9:45 EST, according to the Bioware forums.
I just downloaded it a couple minutes ago; I think it was about $7. One thing it mentions is this is a 2nd way to get Dog. Just get it off download section from main DA page, or get it from the Playstation store. I just started playing DA, and am currently on the Origin stories, but I'll get to it eventually.Comment

Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening Q&A - High-Level Abilities, Characters, Items, and Story
Each fighting style has a new chain of four abilities. For example, the archery chain starts with "accuracy"--a modal ability that you turn on (and should leave on) that gives you a great damage boost based on your dexterity and also adds to other ranged attack stats. It culminates with "rain of arrows," which lets you shower a large area with a gazillion deadly missiles. Good stuff!
Rogues and warriors get a new chain of abilities added to them, and mages get two chains. These chains include abilities like "peon's plight," which lets your warrior outright kill one non-lieutenant enemy in one powerful swipe, which is very useful and can turn the tides of battle in your favor.
We also have two new specializations for each class and three new skills. If all of this sounds like a lot…it is! We have close to 70 new spells, abilities, and skills available to your party.In Origins, mages were very potent forces on the battlefield. Many folks found that a three-mage party was one of the most powerful combinations out there. So while mages certainly have been given some neat new spells, we spent extra time on rogues and warriors to make them more valuable additions to your party.
It's really paid off. Archers have received a significant boost to their damage-dealing capabilities. Dual-wielding rogues are simply murderous when their weapons are fully slotted with runes (especially if a friendly mage adds a "flame weapons" spell to the mix). And a fully decked-out warrior can wade into the thick of any fray and hold the line until the party annihilates the opposition.
The result is better balance between the classes and their roles. A lot more party combinations are fun and entertaining.One of the features we've added in Awakening is the ability to "re-spec" your character--and your companions, as well.

And since the classes are more balanced, you can bring your favorites alongside you and not have to worry so much about your party's class composition. Parties with three rogues, three fighters, or three mages all work (as do any other combination).Since you're facing greater threats, the rewards have been beefed up, as well. There are two new advanced tiers for all weapons and armors available with higher base stats, rune slots, and exciting new item properties, as well. We've spent a lot of time placing loot in chests, on monsters, and in stores for people who live for the next item upgrade. After reading so much about DAO, and being completely spoiled concerning all the characters, I adopted a new policy starting with ME 2, one vid and one article and then a "Information Blackout" until after I play the game. It made ME 2 incredibly fun to go in with very little knowledge of the characters and plot.
So even though I'm not reading up on Awakenings , my gut is telling me that its going to improve greatly, what was already a very, very good game.Jordan Mychal Lemos

I'm the same way. I watch one trailer, maybe read one article, and the rest is all about the general impressions from people I trust. With companies as great as Bioware or Bethesda and sometimes Rockstar, I can take the leap of faith. I'd rather take that risk, than have something spoiled for me. ah, almost 100%. There was thisSpoilerI didn't know that the elf assassin was gay, but they showed that during a vid clip on X play. Didn't matter for me though, because I had already killed him. Try to off me? I don't give a **** who's paying you. no sympathy for the devil. Wayne Brady had to choke a bitch.

yea, it defiantly makes it better going in not knowing anything but the basics. when Dragon Age: Origins first came out, I honestly knew next to nothing about the game and it's story when I bought it. for ME2, I knew most of what was in the game before I even got a chance to play it. it did kind of ruin it some for me, but ME2 is still a great game.
the only thing I've seen of DA:Awakening was the first trailer that was released. haven't even been to the BioWare DA site lately. I want to go into DA:A mostly blind. finishing up on probably my last playthrough of DA:O right now, just in time for DA:A.

Just finished it up...great, great game!
Those decisions at the end are truly difficult. Not sure if I can dedicate another 40+ hours though to try things differently (I do have a save before the Landsmeet though).
Is there any site where I can see some of the other slideshow entries from the epilogue? Curious as to what some of the alterations are.I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be. - Douglas Adams
